hey nick,

since i love pedal and i'm into webmastering and developing myself, i was wondering why you are building it by yourself. You said you wanted extra features that arent supported by out of the box solutions? in that case i am really wondering what those are!

from my quess you want pedal to become more of a community then just a forum. From my point of view and knowlegde of things (especially open source) most of these things are possible with complete packages (phpnuke witch u used before has great new features in the newer versions) Why arent you taking such a package as a base and continue from there? just my 2 cents...

all i hope is that pedal will regain the "glory" it had before, but guessing of the members that come here normally i dont think that will be a problem, just wait and see, pedal will shine again!

anyway nick i really appriciate what your doing and respect for the time you can find for it (cause i cant :P) you know you will allways be remembered as one of the pioneers that brought bmx-riders together! just....continue doing what ur doin! hehe

greets, Jordy - Dutchflatland

nice vid...good to see some other things between the riding...

just curious...how long is that first guy riding flat?

Re: Bram clip. posted on 2006-10-13 10:33:17

well that probably proves he really is a robot..

i can't think of one rider that is capable of riding that sick AND talk to the guy filming at the same time!!!

hehe..anyways bram proves he's one of the new multi talented riders at the moment...(and comparing to my progression we have too many of those riders :P)

Honestly, I'd like to know what's up with the anti-american riding sentiment I keep getting from european riders.

I'm completely serious. I just don't get it.
Hey TJ, please elaborate.
I cant see any anti american riding styles ...... just anti american politics.
And lets face it, even though the us has a great history of flatland, the us seems to have been very neglected in terms of media attention in the past few years and this may just be a form of envy for that time period rather than anti american riding.
I'm just referring to quite a few of the times I've hopped on here and read europeans knocking americans for not having any "style" or not being "original" enough. I think it's a load of rubbish and don't understand how it gets started.
and thats where it goed all wrong...people remember too much of the negativity and too little of the positivity around here...just because "a few" (wich are in my opinion always the same few) say some shit that totally puts all european or all american in one little box, that we "europeans are all the same" ofcourse we have a few bad ones and a few good, just like americans...wich brings me back to the positive/negative part...so lets all be happy campers and think about the good things that pedal has to offer...people like byke and metaphore...those people inspire me to keep riding and to keep visiting this forum...just see how much love is involved..i mean shit, there's a complete stranger asking if he could share the same passion with u have in common and maybe crash over...what's greater then that!!!

Re: Going to Europe! posted on 2006-08-16 03:11:07

i'm sorry to bitch but people, Amsterdam isnt a country...its the main capital in the Netherlands or as we call it "Holland"...

But if you decide to come, like tim said..check out Eindhoven...craziest scene over here! and plenty of places to crash if needed!

Re: THEY SPINNING! posted on 2006-07-01 11:20:14

true..i'd buy them in a heartbeat for my cruiser but NEVER for my bmx...somehow parts on a bike you ride for sports are about function, not fasion...
