Re: Justification for pricing? Have they really gone too far?! posted on 2007-03-11 08:00:11

i will have to say it yet again. i see people comparing price to qualitiy, especially the fly-suelo frames. i myself owned fly for more than a year and i can tell you, my riding isnt smooth and i smashed that thing few times quite hard. after a year there was no mark of it breaking. i suppose by now the dropouts would have been bent, but that thing withstanded my riding for more than a year and thats pretty good i thing for 120.
i see there is a tendency, even amongst am riders, that everyone switches a frame like every year or so, usually even less. this summer ill be riding 5 years, i have my 3rd frame and even that i think the fly frame was unnecessary (had ep before, fly was too short for me, really short...)
im planning to keep my current frame until it breaks, or until i get sick of it, i think that will take maybe 3 years (the time i had my ep, it was too heavy though).
so 340 is nowhere too much for spending sth that you keep for few years and gets you entertained any given day. just count how much money you spend for drinking-partying and stuff like that.

the frame looks great! when my div breaks i'm after this one. can they be produced custom? like different TT?

well, don't diss suelos, they ARE quality, i've ridden one for year and sth, smashed it hard few times and it didn't have any little bent (nor those little 10mm dropouts), and the powdercoat was great (unlike the div).

yeah i can see myself spending 340 for a frame... wait, what about quamens? lots of you ride that and don't complain about the price...

Layout posted on 2006-11-29 10:38:48

So here are few notes for the layout, well they are kind of suggestions:
1, posts - do you think you could separate the posts somehow, it all just seems to be squashed into one, changing background color would help,it wouldn't be that much confusing

2,move to menu - the one that used to be on the bottom and the top of the each page before, it was very useful and you could switch fast between forums

3,quotations - same with the posts, they kinda seem to be lost in the text

maybe these things are being worked on idk, just trying to help. maybe if each user could customize by himself it would be even better.

Re: School Hours posted on 2006-11-07 08:28:26

i envy you, i'm commuting monday to friday, so i have to wake up at 6:30, the school is 56km away so it takes little over hour to get there, the earliest i end is 13:00 on friday, i usually get home at 16:00,some days 18:30, i'm lucky if i get to ride three times a week, usually twice and it's getting worse with the winter and early sunset. i'm considering to move there, less hassle, more time to ride.
it's that i can't right know from various reasons.

Re: Not a vegan but this..... posted on 2006-11-06 13:08:06

yeah you got a point

it was just horrible watching that

i just hate when people claim that "whatever regime/politics... blablabla" is humane and right and somewhere away there are these things happening, ah well... too many problems

Re: Video Name Music posted on 2006-11-06 13:04:17

i think it's Mogwai

Re: Not a vegan but this..... posted on 2006-11-06 08:42:34

whatever you think, this just proves that humans are not humane as they claim to be (the most advanced form of life known to us)
this document shows the point that the real misery lies in the pain that the animals suffer from before they're put to death
i'm not vegetarian, now you can flame me

Re: Support Rider Owned Companies.... posted on 2006-10-24 13:54:01

on today's market we have a lot of stuff to choose from. rider-owned company is not really a gold mine. if it wants to attract the customers they need to bring something new - not talking about another griptape pegs or barends which we have a ton of. i guess Bizhouse have achieved this in a way with their pegs or socket nuts (great idea although i have never used them, or anyone else i know.)

though friendship factor is important too.

i shall consider your offers, the thing is that i'm not a big fan of alu no more.

Re: *******FOR SALE******* posted on 2006-10-13 10:59:02

if u part it out i might be interested in cranks, bb  and sprocket

need crankset posted on 2006-10-13 09:55:24

Ok, I decided to put it in this forum too cause I'm willing to pay the shipping overseas if it's a reasonable price, that's actually what I'm looking for.
I need three piece cranks, 165mm (170mm would be better) for 19mm or 22mm spindle, sealed euro bottom bracket and if you had a sprocket that'd be cool too (26,28t). Make offers.
Prefered brands> Oddy 41 thermals,WTP,Profile,Fsa and such.

Or I can trade for St.Martin Eco Flat crankset

Re: need cranks posted on 2006-10-13 05:13:34

bump someone has to have sth

Re: My bike is FUCKED posted on 2006-10-13 02:26:14

well I feel sorry for you not having a frame, you should at least send the pics to wtp, you never know... any ideas about your future frame? sinus again?

Re: My bike is FUCKED posted on 2006-10-12 15:23:46

i've seen somebody selling the sinus few months ago on ebay,he said it's a prototype and was selling it cheap because the frame fell from somewhere and it had bent (well not cracked) just like yours resulting in steep ht angle... coincidence?

maybe it's the weak point of the frame?
