2008 Eastern Element or others.... posted on 2007-11-18 22:19:29

Besides how sweet the 08 Eastern Element looks (esp. white)....anyone have any thoughts on it.  I ride flat mostly but want to pick up a nice street bike because my flat can't take it.  I'm 5'11" 180 but am used to a smaller TT obviously, so no need to worry about too small of a TT.  Figured I'd ask you street guys for some good suggestions for that under $450 range.

Also, I'm not completely opposed to buying a custom complete if someone has got one their willing to sale, but I'm more interested in a good solid frame than a mediocre frame with awesome parts.  Like I said, just dabbling in street riding to offset my flat tendencies.

Thanks for any and all suggestions, don't hesitate to throw it out there because I'm going to take this week to really narrow it down.

Complete FLY BIKES SIMPLE 4 Sale posted on 2006-09-07 19:43:10

$400 OBO.

Fly Bikes Simple Frame
Odyssey Tapered Forks
Ronin 7" Bars
Odyssey Thermal 3 Piece Cranks
Nankai Freecoaster Hub
95% New Odyssey Tires

This is the bike I bought from Moncho, that i rode all of 3 times before certain circumstances made me leave it behind in my sister's apartment in Austin while i moved back to Houston.  Got back up here and well....i need money for school....i go to University of Texas and the shit ain't cheap.  It's pretty much the only valuable asset i have to sell otherwise i would start riding the damn thing.

The frame alone costs $250 new. The cranks are $160 new. The hub is $100 new. Thats only 3 parts of the bike I'm mentioning that are all in perfect shape still that accounts for $510. The bike pieced together piece by piece probably right at $800

There is no wear down on any of the bike at all except the seat, pedals, and pegs cause they came off a previous bike (keep that cost down).  Seriously though all the other components are new.  Moncho rode on it around 3 times....i rode it around 3....and you can tell.  The frame and bike is in tip top shape.

Closer more detailed pics just ask....

Re: Bad Sellers List and Great Sellers/Buyers List Here posted on 2006-09-07 19:24:32

Moncho was an awesome seller although this happened back in December.  I bought his Fly Bikes Simple complete and everything went down seamlessly.  Shipped very fast especially considering his ass is in P.R. i think. Unfortunately i gotta sell the damn thing now....so check out my post if you can in the classifieds.  but back to the point. Moncho = first rate dude to work with.

550-under complete suggestion posted on 2005-11-26 12:03:11

PLEASE POST THIS IN THE CORRECT FORUM ..... TECH PART AND REPAIR.

Hey, I don't want to be that guy or anything and the one who posts shit without looking around but i haven't found a topic that exactly fits my question. I've got around 550 to spend and i need to just go ahead and by a complete because i know if i start piecing mine together i'll never get to riding because well it will never get completed due to the fact i'll be trying to buy the best of everything. Basically i'm just looking for suggestions on a good street setup. oh yeah and i prefer a shorter TT because i do spend half my time doing flatland but i'm not going pro any time soon so would rather have a street bike that won't break when i jump a set of stairs or something. Thanks for the help.

I rode flatland off an on for 4 years but faded out when i had to get serious about school....schools done. Go UT! Yeah but anyways, I want to get riding quickly so i don't have time to piece a bike together as i come up with the funds. Looking for around a 300-550 used complete. preferably a shorter TT and a non beat the fuck up bottom tube. Lol...I'm open to all offers but don't try to pawn off a fucking old ass Dyno Show on me with one pieces or something. Oh yeah....partially completes will do....i just know i don't have the money to get all the shit i want brand new.

don't hesitate to make offers man. let me know what your thinking.
