oh yeah, and does anyone know where would do a cheap/bargain decent cassette around the Boston area?

I live in London and I've got a friend going to Boston over Christmas.
She says she'll pick me up whatever I want over there as depending on what it is it may well be cheaper.
I'm thinking cassette as I'm using a Demolition hub with a massive 44 tooth Macneil guard sprocket at the moment.
I like the 44/16 ratio but I reckon I'll save a fair bit of wedge so am very tempted.
What do different ratios FEEL like, I know where to look to get which ones work.

I've just been looking at the hoffman bikes website at the '06 range and I noticed all the frames are euro or spanish and not american.
Is the american a thing of the past now?
Is this a bad thing?
Can I convert my powerbites if need be (to either)?
Is the euro more fragile because it's threaded?
If so does this mean it's easy to write off frames?
What's the dilio with the spanish?
and what happened to (g-sport) george's northern bracket which was a rubber thing in rideuk a while ago? surely if it's one of george's everybody should be doing it
too many questions, I'm so confused

I've just moved to King's Cross and am looking for a few street spots, so if anyone knows any let me know!
Does any one know what the Camden Park is like or what the people who ride there are like.
BMW BMX? posted on 2005-07-05 02:36:15
Every now and then you see brands like Porsche churning out a mountain bike or two, especially at shows. I was wondering if there were any other brands with the odd BMX like BMW BMX's or anything like that and if they were any good in the slightest. I don't want one but for some reason I'm intrigued.

I've started to have a go at these on this underwheelheight block of concrete.
I can quite often do them for just under half a foot (still learning) but when I mess them up I end up crashing into the block with my cranks and either go over the bars or end up picking them out of my crotch.
I go at them at a slight angle (so my bike is like seven o clock) which could be why I'm going wrong but something is definantly going wrong.
So does anyone have any advice? Like where to keep my weight or what angle to approach it at
