cielencki pedals or primo tenderisers?? posted on 2005-01-06 18:18:00
Primos:
Pros - Stay tight, strong bodies.
Cons - Axles bend easy, no grip.
JCs:
Pros - Medium grip, strong bodies, extra pins.
Cons - Bodies come loose on the axle, axle loosens off the crank arm more often.

No matter what you say Oui will come on afterwards and dissagree with it. Come one Oui, a no-footed steam isn't exactly a miami hopper is it?
j: The sky is blue.
Oui: Actually it's kind of grey bordering on white here since it's overcast if you wanted to know.

Hop up to double tire first. Then just do the same thing except drop your front wheel over to the side.
VISION STREET WEAR AWESOME NEW STUFF! posted on 2005-01-06 02:04:33
You can mock Vision if you want but back in the day everyone rocked their stuff. We wore the leather hi-tops because they were the best shoes out there. Vans and Converse were all canvas and the side wore out in about a week. Vision were the first shoes with a rubber toe cap and rubber ollie pad, plus a leather upper so the upper actually lasted as long as the sole. They mostly made suede ones but we would always search for the smooth leather versions. Maybe they will bring those back someday.

Yup Animal - Can I Eat, and the Federal video is really good Trafellio or whatever it's called. It also has a little flatland related stuff in it.

If it takes you more than a minute to take a freewheel off then you must be using a hammer and chisel or something.
Cassettes feel a bit smoother because they engage a bit quicker. Plus you can run your chain tighter and it doesn't bind up. This is mostly due to the fact that a cassette driver runs directly on a bearing and freewheels are unsealed and shittily made.
The main problem with cassettes is that the driver runs right on the axle. If you grind on your right get an LSD cassette. If you bend the axle at all on the drive side the driver becomes misaligned with the hub shell. This is why cassettes start to skip or run rough sometimes. The drive side bearing is way over near the center of the hub to make room for the pawls and driver so the axle is unsupported. A freewheel is mounted on the hub shell so it doesn't matter how bent your axle gets. It will never skip.
If you don't grind on your drive side then you will be fine. I just wish somebody made a quality freewheel in a size smaller than 16T.

I have never seen another rootbeer coloured strat before so that's pretty cool. Here's mine:

I switched it to a newer style roller nut and replaced the pickups with some chrome PAFs.

Lowrider Astro Van with the 2nd row back seat taken out and a bike rack built in. Panel van style with no windows. Low rider so you can't help people move. Open the back doors and shove your front tire into the rack, close the doors.
