I used to have a website www.flatride.ru , but not anymore, however, I still use this nickname for old times' sake

Since I'm a huge "Friends" fan, try to guess who I gave my vote to.

When I see Justin Miller, the only thought that pops up in my mind is: "Dude, smile for once!" Oui was right, can he look more pissed while pulling such ridiculous tricks and being cheered by such a big audience?
This speaker guy is just ... Can't find a word here. "WASSUP WASSUP WASSUP" This was the most annoying thing I've ever heard in my life.
But the video itself and especially editing are top-norch, haven't seen anything like that for a while. Props to Mickey Gaidos.

I think Byke mentioned something about that... Are they really coming out or what? Does anybody know something about it?

Wow, I need one, even though I love my current simple.  :-o

Geisha vs. Boo vs. Nankai posted on 2006-06-12 23:01:17

Which one works best?
I heard a few people saying that sealed freecoasters don't work as well as nankai, I would like to have proof. I'm seriously considering switching the freecoaster right now. Although, I'm having doubts because a friend of mine brought me a magicfruits cap from Japan, and it looks sick. :) So much cooler than nankai one...

Re: bent axels over and over again posted on 2006-05-25 19:14:45

There's nothing wrong with axles, there's something wrong with you. 8th axle - are you kidding me? You've changed the frame already - didn't help. Maybe it's time for you to think about what YOU are actually doing wrong. Everybody learned hang 5's at some point of our flatland lives, but nobody bends them like you do, I personally never bent an axle in my life. You are skinny as hell, from what I've seen on the pictures. So maybe you are adjusting the bike wrongly.

Re: I'd like you all to take notice posted on 2006-05-22 20:15:14

From some of you it sounds like "YOU MUST BE THERE, YOU MUST FILM THE VIDEO AND YOU MUST POST IT ON PEDAL". You need the video that much - go to jam and film it yourself.

Re: Da Vinci Code: Book or movie? posted on 2006-05-22 00:43:38

I watched the movie today - it was good, not great, but good. The special effects were  pretty good. Some elements of the plot were cut out but nothing major. Pretty good work, I would give it A- . About religious issues, sorry to be a little rude but - who gives a shit? It's just a movie that is an interpretation of a book, so why don't they blame the book?

Re: Da Vinci Code: Book or movie? posted on 2006-05-20 23:08:07

Do you ever recall the time when the movie was better than a book?

I'll get a Quamen once it's weight goes below 4 lbs, I know that will happen one day.

Re: Honda Accord Deisel sets speed, endurance records; gets 92 mpg posted on 2006-05-19 13:46:42

Well, regardless of how wimpy and cheesy looking hybrids are, they are still way more fuel efficient than american cars. I agree, it doesn't make sense for GM to start making hybrids because nobody would buy them, since most americans are still driving these huge ass trucks that eat more fuel than jet planes. The stupidest thing is that most of them carry the air in the trunk so therefore don't use them according to their purpose.
But I'm pretty sure that when the gas price go above 4 bucks per gallon, people will go more towards hybrids. America needs a hybrid version of a Ford F-250 truck!

Re: Rawing a frame...how long are we talking? posted on 2006-05-19 13:32:51

Took me about 2 days to do it with paint stripper. A LOT OF WORK, but the result is worth it. Don't forget to protect your hands while using a paint stripper (I got some on my hands and it burned like hell), also some 300-400 grid sandpaper to finish up the frame. And, of course, a couple of beers to make the process go faster and more fun. :)

Re: San Francisco Flatland posted on 2006-05-19 13:29:33

It might be a surprise for you, but California is not great anymore with flatland. Not so many people are riding anymore, I'm pretty much the only one to ride consistently, I ride near clocktower, well, you know the place. We get about 4-5 flatlanders on clocktower on weekends, but that' pretty much it.
You can PM me and I'll give you my phone number so you can call me up when you come over to sanfran.
