Oh and JoNnY_BoY.. There are lots of girls that ride in Ontario, but with an attitude like that.. dont expect any talking to you.

I know in this particular case your only option was to push for a seperate bmx park.

But in general.. Having seperate parks IS segragation. There is no difference between skateboard ramps and bmx ramps. There is a preference.. skaters tend to like smaller ramps, while bmxers perfer larger, but there is no ramp thats is only skateable or only bikeable.

The majority of skateparks around the world allow bikes and skateboards togeather and do so with out any problems. Not allowing bikes and skateboards into a park is often what STARTS the problems. Insted of learning to get along, this just pushes a farther wedge. And, no matter what is built at the bmx park. there are still gonna be riders that see things they want to ride at the skateboard park, and will go ride it anyway, which starts fights.

The town I live in is going to build a skatepark and they want to do a bike only and a skateboard only. I'm going in this week to try to talk them out of it. The trend shouldnt be towards sport specific parks.. it should be a trend towards "RAMP PARKS" not skateparks.. just ramp parks with ramps useable by skateboards, bikes, inlines and although i hate to say it.. even scooters
