easy way.......ride straight the trick is your forward speed before you even start to spin....when you ride straight start your rotation either to the left or right look in the direction you are going......ex.. if you rotate to the left look left as if you are trying to look over your left shoulder. as far as the speed part if you rotate around and you just stop. you dont roll back to fakie you need to go faster before you start your rotation or it will get very frustrating when you are trying to roll back and you just stop keep trying it over and over when you gain more confidence you will go faster and faster until when you rotate you fakie out...

i dont wanna sound like a jerk but track stands are from 1985 when i first started riding. If you still wanna learn how to do them go ahead dont get frustrated my balance sucked so bad when i first started it just takes a lot of practice. the only way to learn is to do it.

Re: Flatland durability? posted on 2007-12-31 18:58:42
like what has been said flat bikes usaully last three or four years. As long as you keep up on the maintinence. I cant spell anyhow...yeah just shop around go to flatlandfuel.com and educate yourself on everything. ask lots of questions. Flatland bikes are durable but if you build a flatland specific bike keep it flatland. They are not quite as heavy duty as street/park bikes
Re: Question about flatland frames. posted on 2007-12-31 18:51:20
Well.. to be honest your bike isnt made for flatland. It has BMX Geometry/ long head tube proably 20.5 inch TT and a 14inch cs which will make it very hard to do flat. You can ride flat with a frame like that but you are making a hard thing harder. Hoffman bikes does make a lower gryo tab plate called the hoffman D cup its about 13 bucks or so they have it a flatland fuel.com you may want to ask them if it will fit your particular frame. Or you could put gyro tabs on your frame you can drill them. Its a pain but i have done it. I would check out flatland fuel though they may have some lying around
Re: I need help choosing new rims and brakes posted on 2007-12-31 18:34:09
If you want a suggestion.. which is only my opinion but the hombre fiesta brakes are great they work awsome and easy to maintain. For your rims the Odyssey hazard lights are good also the sun big city light . as far as gear ratio it is all personal perference/function, how you ride your bike my preference is 36/12. I have it set up like that because i ride some street and park too. If your sprocket is too big in the front it will be like riding a mountain bike in a high gear on flat ground. If you only ride in a parking lot then with something smaller if you are interested in saving weight. to make it all short its really just what you like. If you have any questions or need more explanation just let me know.
