Freestyle BMX scooter??? posted on 2007-10-15 23:32:29
Do people still ride scooters (inflatable wheeled, non-razor)? Just wondering if people still have any interest in them (if they even know what they are beyond the razor type).
They are probably considered as pretty lame, but I own a really unique one I plan on selling in a week or two on ebay, but I am unsure if there would be an interest>
It is a freestyle scooter, built freestyle strong for older riders, with canti and 990 brakes w/ detangling, 16" 36h wheels, pegs, and all the standing platform you would ever need. It is in great shape. The rims are a little worn with a pinch on the rear one, though I found out that strong 16” rims are now available in double wall form from sun/rhino. Frame is in great shape, no dents. The bottom part of the standing platform has holes to attach skateboard bashguards.

It is a very limited edition item, I bet only a handful were ever made. An engineer in Germany custom made them about 10 years ago, and I was able to get a relative to haul it across the Atlantic from a trip there.
I am selling it because I am getting way to old to ride it (won’t mention age ), and I am between jobs
It is amazing to do flatland on, balancing is easily held with the amount of room, and the size of the wheels.
Just thought I would put this info out to find if people are interested in such things
At this point in life I've sold off a lot of my BMX stuff (some of it was stolen also). It has been a while since I have ridden, so I have no idea about current trends.
If you have any thoughts, post a response. thanks
