first off hi, im new to the site and to bmx...so new that I dont have a bike, and that why I'm posting. I am primarily a mountain biker, but a really nice concrete skatepark is opening up in my town about a month from now and I have decided I need a bmx bike to check it out. I dont know much at all about bmx bikes so I'm looking for advice. my budget is anything less than $300 but I want to spend as little as possible. The cheapest option I have is a used GT Bump for $150. IDK what year model it is but it is in good condition. the only reason I am hesitating to buy it is that it is Really heavy and from what I see on the net it is more of a dirt jump bike. the other brands that the shop caries are: diamondback, GT, Haro, DK,. the other thing is I cannot base My decision on how the bikes feel because all Bmx bikes feel cramped to me because I am used to 26in wheels! If the bump would be sutible for learning to ride in a skatepark, It would be my first choice, but if there was a new bike fore $300 or less that would be significantly better I would get it.
