I live in NJ, but travel into Manhattan many times for work, and besides seeing a bike in a DC Shoes display window I have not noticed any true "BMX" Shops..however there are a few "bicycle" stores. I hope your bringing your bike because it sure is a fun/great place to cruise around in at night time! Don't bother during the day as there are way to many people and security guards.

I know this is a little late to be replying, but I work at Sids Bikes in manhattan. NOBODY is BMX specific here because its not popular enough, but I do ride BMX and I do try to keep a couple of BMX specific items handy at the store.
