necro: Awesome, do you want to use it more because of the new layout? Or is it something else?

I too would like to come back to Pedal instead of using global flat forums, but there is a lot that needs to be adressed before I can handle coming back here. Its just too complicated, and things needs to be re-arranged and simplified. Like everyone keeps saying: the older version of pedal was the best forum so far.

It's good to see the site is still around.  I agree that most like the original design of the site, but that was also most likely when it was not as large (user base).

I'm an IT Dork, so I know once you get to a point with Web Traffic, that you need to look @ advertising to support the site and bandwidth costs.  I do currently kinda feel like I am on a pr0n fetish site with all the flashing ads and stuff.  Perhaps there could be 'membership' option for the more loyal members, who could bypass all the ads and such Al La a yearly support fee?

Sorry for anything I may have repeated from shit-tons of other people, but I'm a busy one these days, and I keep my forum lurking on the lightness.

Good to see ya about again, I'll try to drop in again, soon.

Pic0o: Great to see you still around! I've removed the annoying ads for now, but they may return, we'll see.

As you mentioned, there has been a pay option in the works for years now, lol. However the code is basically already finished, I just need to finalize everything. I've been super busy with my new job lately, but I've started working a lot on Pedal again lately.

If this is something you would be interested in seeing (meaning you plan on sending me money), then it will definitely bump up in priority. The deal previously was $2/mo, no ads, unlimited everything, and an e-mail address @pedalbmx.com. This will likely be the same deal still, so let me know if anyone would be interested in PedalPlus.

Pedal is coming back!

Nick, I haven't been around Pedal for a while, but the redesign does look nice... any new features that came along with it?

I'm here. Again. Nick fixed my issue.  I'd have to say membership would be an option, to kill the ads. Pedal was huge in tying the community together.  Matbe have membership options that'll allow or disallow certain windows. I'd personally could do without a shoutbox. But hey, whatever keeps it going.

Guatiao: Welcome back! Thanks, it's far from done, like everything around here ;)

Yea, tons of new features, lots of bug fixes. Check out the Pedal blog for specifics.

Void Dweller: Glad I could help. I already have plans for PedalPlus customization, including a skinny side bar. This could be easily extended to turning off things you don't want/need.  Great idea, thanks. I'll probably just turn the shoutbox back off in general though. No one seems to use it, and it puts a large load on the server.

good to see, the spywares off here, Personally I agree I like the old style, and I didn't mind a few adds, But format, I'm willing to try out a new one, I understand you want something different and all.

It's just a matter of the Site admin, controlling what adds are setup, eg. What's the chance theres a few online mailorders you could ask for a banner offer, instead of the random bullshit you were getting before, including the spyware installing adds.

If you can be a bit more controlling over your adds I'll probably take you up on that pedal plus if you can do it by paypal.

I deal with so many freaken neglected computers that are cranks full of spyware to the point of stopping, as I gather many members here deal with also, I'm against sites using spyware installing banners and, hence I don't even have a myspace for that reason.

Anyway, hopefully I can comeback to nice spyware free site.
