we're here...waiting for the site to get up to speed...patiently. Too bad it takes 60 sec. to load a page(even with T1 and Cable modem). Its cold and snowing up north here anyway so , not like anything is going on. Is smoking after sex everything they say it is? 0_o

i believe most of the community is kinda in a limbo they do search other sites. a lot i am sure hit up global-flat and most check out pedal but day by day kinda hope it will go back to the old site. but i am sure that once all the bugs are worked out the community will migrate back unless the bugs continue on for a while. great site it is just getting a face lift and i guess we are all old people and hate change.

New server will be up tomorrow according to my host, and that should take care of the entire speed issue. - Nick Busey

like most people i'm still checking in regularly, being patient while the upgrade takes effect and things look in order. i'm excited to see the final product, and Nick, i wish you the best of luck as you sort through all the nuts and bolts of it. ...from the legendary Oltorf Garage

im glad to see a big step of improvement. it loads faster and is becoming easier to read and reply on. Im sure it will only be a matter of time and just looking at the names of the posts and there are still users missing but i see more users everyday. keep up the good work and i think as it improves we will begin to forget about old pedal.

The site has definately changed in the past few days obviously, I haven't logged on in a long time but have checked to see if the site is at least usable which it seems to be now. It is still ugly, and less user friendly than the old site...why not just make your own custom layout that's somewhat similar to the old one rather than having a big white page with huge letters, and a lot of blank space? My screen resolution is 1920x1200 and I still think the letters are too big. Also it still takes forever to load pages for me, maybe not as long as it did a few days ago but for having a cable modem and loading other websites without any problem, and having this site take 20 seconds to load a page pretty much sucks.

nice work Nick. sounds like your realy trying your best to appease the masses which can be difficult. looks like things are getting better all the time and it seems like you still have a lot of people who would like to post here and see your effort come full swing. some problems i have had have been load times, which you already know of, and page layout. i think the layout of thread replys should be more defined. you know how replys as you read them alternate between white and gray? its seems if i change the sight color to tan it looks a bit better. the old sight i think everything was boxed in? it seems like they should also be wider, there is still alot of wasted space. the reply box is good now, that narrow one just wasn't doing it. if i think of anything usefull, ill let you know. i don't know much about web design but i would have to say you have an impressive effort. good luck.

I just now noticed that the "user control" panel is towards the top right of the page...and there are a few colors to choose from on there. What really sucks IMO is that you have to click the color for each time a new page loads. But even having to click a color each page, the colors make reading a lot easier for me. And how do I post in the shout box? I agree a quote button would be awesome, you said you'd add one shortly so that's good...and also I agree with joey on boxing the posts in, think that might look better.

this site is sooo painful to use... it's like we went back in time to 1995... you should really just use a normal forum layout that's out-of -the-box... i know you are doing your best and trying to improve things though... however i must say, simple is better; seriously try to go by that...
