Some ska bands that I listen to a lot:
The Skatalites Against All Authority Choking Victim Leftover Crack Otis Reem Justin Hinds and the Dominoes The Scofflaws Streetlight Manifesto Catch-22 The Ethiopians Link-80 Mustard Plug
some other popular ones are the Toasters, the Aquabats, do a google search and you'll find a webpage with hundreds of ska bands listed.

to rat.
in the words of Axis of Evil!
Note to fans and show promoters: to quash the aura of uncertainty about us, yes the name of the band includes the exclamation mark (!) at the end of "Evil". This is intended to reinforce us in the 3-front war we wage on a daily basis.
The first being against all those potential poser Axis’ of Evil bands that may spring up from time to time - bound to happen since the name is really awesome. “Yes, your band is also referred to as ‘Axis of Evil,’ but as you can clearly see, ours is spelled with an ‘!’ at the end, which is totally different from the way yours is spelled and pronounced, tool.”
Which leads us to our second front, legality. We don’t actually know how solid of a case we would have in the courts against someone with a potentially more legitimate right to the use of the name than us (for example, George Bush). However, we put our faith into our legal system, praying that if ever the day comes when our right to our band name is challenged, the country the name is satirizing won’t hold it against us. And if so, we can always move to Germany, apparently we have a TON of fans out there. I hear they still cut off people’s hands if they’re caught stealing bread, is that true?
The third front is a front of practicality. As anyone who has ever heard of us ever can vouch, simply stating the name of our band in reference to a performance, recording, or just any of us as individuals does not cut it. Axis of Evil! is not a label, it is an experience - the ‘!’ expresses that. When properly pronouncing our moniker, it must be articulated so. When shot in the face, one would not state “ouch,” one would scream it at the top of his lungs (assuming the bullet has not ceased higher brain functionality and no previous bullet has already collapsed said lungs) as feeling and emotion are being conveyed through the vocal chords (also assuming those have not already been shot out). The name is emotion and to state or express otherwise would be a travesty.
This all may be a little too esoteric and existential to grasp all at once. Sit back and let it all sink in; re-read that last paragraph a few more times and make sure you didn't miss any important points. Such is Axis of Evil!, or in the eternal words of Richard Hua of Torrington, CT, such is, “AXIS OF EVIL!!!!!!!!!”
