like Oui said the overusage of turbined steam-rollers in todays pro riding as oppose to making new inovations to the sport and showing their thoughts of creativity in the handfull of tricks they do "IS" the judges fault. if you told me at a comp to jump off my bike and moon every one to win, and i won.
EVERYONE WOULD DO IT TOO!! haha..
two wheel combos would be way way sick though but to break the backwheel frontwheel barrier at the comps alot! of the riders would have to push themselves to that level of doing/linking both wheel tricks which might take another generation, hopefully its this one though.

Yeah that 1st photoshop looks like one someone else made a long time ago, and as for the fagpod, TJ's hair is way more poofy than that, at least when I saw him at York Jam. No attention to detail in those photoshops at all.  :|

but anyone back to the poiint...stop watching videos,, it'll help you be more creative...trust me..i've been doing it for awhile....

I don't think that's nessicarily true. I've found a lot of tricks just by experimenting with other peoples tricks. Learning them, then adding my own twist to them. You can still be original, and in touch with whats going on.

Even if you do do something original, someone else has done it before, so what excuse will you use, that you simply didn't see it? Wel it doesn't fly. I've learned tons of stuff, shown it, then turned around to hear people calling me a copycat for learning something without knowing someone else has already done it.

I give up so whatever.

Yea, true but the whole idea of not watching  videos is to force urself to be creative instead of pulling something out of a vid...its not about having an excuse JUST IN CASE someone calls you a biter. Granted, 80-90% of the tricks that ppl do today have already been been done, over and over again...but i think it'll help, if ppl didn't watch as much vids as they did. The only negaive thing about it , is that its a slow process, sitting down, thinking about things that YOU have never see before. Right now, i can think ( learning now), of a few tricks that i've never seen before ( brkless)...i could go to a contest and pull these tricks and be called a biter because apparently to some riders, its been done. I shouldn't , nor should any rider have an excuse for doing a trick. If someone calls you a biter, brush them off because in YOUR head, you know that you've created your tricks without watching someone on a vid....its all about building the mental skill for creating tricks; the more you try to  "Manually create", the stronger your skill for creating original tricks will be.

it all depends on the rider..some ppl watch vids for new tricks to pull, and many other reasons, i personally watch vids just for the entertainment, its always good to see new riders, new tricks, but i limit myself from to many  vids, for my own personally progression.

the best thing  is the riding itself

im not pissed about riders doing the same tricks, thats all good and fun; contests arent everything flatland is about.

what i am annoyed about is how all the 'good' riders are pricks. i would much rather ride with guys that are average and still wanting to learn and have fun, then riding with you stuck-up tards. im in no way saying everyone in this thread is stuck-up, but theres a few poeple who i knew when i started flatland and they've changed in a BAD way.

anyway, why doesnt everyone just stop arguing about tricks? i really dont see the point. its a freakin' bike.
