gusset looks awesome! i like the large but simple dropouts as well (i dont trust these tiny new ones), only thing im not a fan of the the ball-sack BB. the welds need a little work as well.
make it in a 19.3 and ill take one :D

To the OP:
I know exactly what you mean. I'm 6'0 and i cant ride anything smaller then 19". Right now im on a 19.1" sinus whcih gives good length to it, but since the back end is so short it feels more maneuverable. If your looking into a new frame, check out the 05/06 Sinus for sure.

Re: Freecoaster question posted on 2006-06-30 19:17:28
you can make/buy a large spacer or washer to put inbetween the driver and cone to shorten the engagement time, hence lessening slack. ive never personally done this, but it does work.
speaking of which, i might do that with my f/c.

Re: Freecoaster question posted on 2006-06-30 07:05:43
do you mean that when you pedal forward, theres a brief period where the rear wheel doesnt engage with the cranks? thats completely normal. all freecoasters have that and its called Slack.
what that is, is the small amount of time that the driver inside the freecoater is screwing itself into the cone which actually drives the wheel. you will realize that if you want the freecoaster to do what it does (by letting the cranks not move backwards while your rolling backwards), you will always need to backpedal a bit first. that disengages the clutch to that the cranks spin freely.
but your freecoaster is working fine, every single person on this flatland forum has teh same 'problem' :-)

Re: how do you add pegs to were your bottom braket and crank are supposed to be? posted on 2006-06-29 20:05:52
american BB with 2 2" diameter pegs that are tapered at the ends work best. you need unsealed 1-piece crank cups as well.
get a spare axle, and THREE axle nuts. put one nut on one side of the axle, then put another on and tighten it against the first. then put a peg on with the axle nuts on the inside like a normal peg.
put the axle with the 1 peg through the bb. support the axle up through the bb and slide another peg on. bolt that peg on like normal and BOOM, 6 pegs.
i rode 6 pegs for about a month, and it was not all it seems to be. sure its light, but it looks like ass and the pegs are in a VERY awkward spot to balance on. if you want to shave some weight or be different, run 2 front wheels and take off your sprocket/chain and still have your cranks on. that saves weight, no need for a freecoaster, and gives you the same balance point on pedal tricks. only downside is you cant step down on the pedal to give a little speed while riding away. ive ridden this way as wele, and i LOVED it. learn to pump and your all good.
Re: Grip installation tip posted on 2006-06-29 20:00:39
mostly i use hairspray just to keep it stuck on there good, but if they are new fresh grips i use my aircompressor. works best and goes on/off quickly.

im in ontario as well, and my last order (a complete wtp sinus) took 4 busniess days to arrive with UPS. on sunday, i ordered a pair of 0 sweep 7.3" sarvet bars, and they should be here tomorrow.
USUALLY its 5 business days including shipment date to ontario. like if you order monday mornin and its shipped monday, itl be there on friday. ive never had it take longer, and the shortest time was 4 business days.
Re: can i flatland with this bike posted on 2006-06-29 12:48:30
you can flatland on any bike with 4 pegs. there was this guy a couple years back who rode flat on a 24" trials bike.
shorter forks, stem, freecoaster, brakes, smaller sprockets, etc; all that is optional. all you need is a little motivation and 4 pegs.

In the beggining,I found it difficult too switching hands but I came up with this.
While you're in the steam-roller position,go double footed and let the bars.hold just the seat for a second(double footed one handed steam) and then, with your free hand, grab the other grip of you bars and take off of the peg your second foot..
This way,the bike will be a lot more stable while switching hands

thats actually goodf idea. i would go out and try it right now but im tired from work and kinda drunk so riding wont be good for mey right now.
