dont sleep with your bike. the pegs are usually pretty gnar'd up and it tends to cut your genitals open after a thrust or 2.

ive started looking at the upside of things, and ive realized that now that i have a ton of frree time i can get in on all the things (and pussy) that ive missed out on in the past 2 years. i know it sounds bad but thinking of all those kinda things has really cheered me up. riding doesnt help much but ive been hanging out with my cousin (cool guy) and a ton of his friends (lots are girls, they are young and naive. score!)
she still on my mind a lot, but for now im just happy that it ended the way it did and not in a fight.

how old are you dude?
im 18 now.
this week keeps getting better. i spent 20$ on 500 paintballs, 6$ for a Co2 refill, and 10$ for 10 new O-rings for my paintball gun. the tank somehow emptied itself overnight. i swear i didnt even touch it, but now its empty.
another thing i just realized: im supposed to trade frames soon, and i have 300$ worth of bike to pay off to my parents still. i love debt.

good day today. i woke up at 6:50AM to go into work because i was told that i work at 8. i take the 20min drive and use my last 20$ for gas. i get there, and it turns out i work at 2 (i was told yesterday when i called work that i was working 8-6). no problem, just drove home.
i get home, decide to go visit my girl at 9:00, and we end up breaking up after over 2 years of dating. i never thought it would end, and everytime i hear her name i have to hold back the tears.
as if my day wasnt bad enough.
i go to work at 2, like normal, work till 5:30 (im off at 10), my manager calls me into her office and fires me on the spot. her reason? i didnt show up yesterday. why didnt i show up? my car broke down and i was stuck in a Holiday Inn in toronto an hour away from my house/work with no car and no money, and my parents were at our family cottage till 10PM.
what a great day. im having so much fun.

bottom gyro cable thing sucks to maintain, and its a mofo to make it fit. heres how to set up dual fronts:
what you need:
1 knarp
1 log piece of cable housing, cut in half
1 full 6' cable
cut the 2 pieces of housing the same length, make them just as you would use them as a regular front brake. put one hopusing down the fork tube and out the left side of the brake, and the other down the tube and out the right side. put your cable into your lever, then through the first piece of housing. sit the housing end into the brake like normal.
now, run the cable THROUGH the brake arms, and into the other cable. set THAT housing into the other brake arm. run the cable up through the second piece of housing, and stick a knarp on the end. pop it into the other lever, and BAM; dual front brakes. it is difficult, but easy to maintain after a while.

try kicking your balance foot forward (or humping the bars) when youve gotten the turbine to forwards. it will give you the little extra bit of mementum youll need to get it to go fw

i use a kryp as well, its not an evolution though, and it doesnt open with a pen
it's a tubular key hole too, like the pen will fit in but i can't get it opened.
i tried awhle ago when i first heard about it and i turned the hole inside of the lock and just fucked it up so the key couldnt even open it.
i ended up lining it back up correctly though ,so its fine, but it wont open with a pen
you heat the end of the pentube up and poush it in so it conforms to the key design. then it opens
My raunchy biking story. posted on 2006-07-30 12:54:51
thought ide share this with you all.
i went on a vacation last weeek, and got a MAD sunburn on my shoulders. 4 days later (today), it doesnt really hurt anymore and its starting to peel (like all bad burns). so i thought ide go biking. i rode for about 2 hours, in the humidity its like 40*C. after about 2 hours and a drenched shirt, i decided to go back home.
i just took my shirt off.
the sweat tried to get out of my skin, but the peeling parts that were just sarting to seperate from me didnt let the sweat out. i literally have hundreds of small little sweat droplets trapped underneath sunburn skin on my shoulders. they look like pimples, but totally clear, and full of sweat. they explode if you poke at them too. they are some as small as a pin, and some almost half a CM in diameter. basically its bubbles of sweat on my skin. they dont hurt, and they kinda look cool.
anyway! the moral of this story is: if you have a sunburn thats just starting to peel, dont sweat!
and no im not posting a picture you sick bastards.
Re: help got 2 questions to ask posted on 2006-07-29 08:40:51
unless you actually LIKE the color pink, dont spraypaint ANYTHING. dont do it just to feel cool, because you will hate it in a week.
really, cranks arent needed to ride flat. that topic is a whole different arguement though (and popele will argue for days about how a bike with no cranks is a scooter blah blah blah). but in your situation, put them on and keep them on.
as for brakes, use whatever you can to start off, until you can upgrade to better ones. a good site for starter --> pro flatland parts is www.flatlandfuel.com
dont worry too much about the weight of your bike. i would guess as a GT older bike its around 35-40 pounds, which is light compared to most older bikes. bikes today usually range from 20-30 pounds, 20-25 being stupidly light, around 28 is nice though.
your tires are actually good tires. ive been riding them for flat now for about 2 months. very sticky, and they last long.
really, theres not much that makes a flatalnd bike:
-shorter frame to allow more maneuverability
-4 pegs for every trick
-brakes (for beginners and even some accomplished/pro riders still have them)
-every nut, bolt, screw, and piece is all properly tightened and dialed in. you should be able to bounce your bike on the tires and ONLY hear the tires. my bike sounds like a basketball when i bounce it.
-high pressure tires. if you do have M-treads, you should be pumping them to at LEAST 100psi. if not 110psi.
thats really all. you can ride flatland on any bike, but the above is what a normal one looks/feels like.welcome to flat :-D
also, if you want to see what real flat bikes look like, check out the Flatland Bike Pictures thread in the pics/vids section. if youve got hours to spare, start on page 1 and keep going.
EDIT: one last tip. use a little mroe grammar and sell things correctly. its ok to make some mistakes (like me, from typing too fast), but poeple should still be able to read and understand what your saying.

Swing by any bike shop. If they won't pump if for you they'll at least let you use theirs.
hmm, i dont really wanna go to my close bike shop, i hate that place, and my usual shop, i gotta take 2 buses to get there. So ill see if my neighbor has a better pump or something u know.
P.S. Since ppl think my "avatar"(it was my sig u jackass) is gay i changed it. A lil something for the haters

Hey, in Puerto Rico, we sometimes get some high 80s in December... high 90s during summer... tropical weather all year long (with many storms and more heavy rain than normal in the last few years), so we are pretty much accustomed to it.
Lots of water, some other exercise like jogging, and vitamins are helpful...

do the vitamins actually help? i used to always take the Flintstones vitamins, but i never thought they did me any good. i was thinking of telking to my doctor about which of them to use daily and if they will make a difference.
frame trade: 05' Sinus for 19" Sick Child posted on 2006-07-14 19:52:26
i love my sinus and all, but ive always wanted a badda bling. im willign to trade my nearly new 05 WTP sinus for a good condition 19" sickchild.
pics available to serious customers only, or you can dig up my bike pic thread. frame is brown with mounts, 3/8 axles and euro BB. a couple paint chips, but everything else is mint. rear brakes never used, from only a month and a half old.
ill trade it for a 19" Sick Child frame. must be in perfect frame condition, i dont care too much about the paint. euro BB please, dropouts dont matter. PM me here or email me at jubes1337@hotmail.com
Re: Grips posted on 2006-07-14 19:23:51
does anyone have a suggestion for grips that staygrippy with sweat? im running grips jsut like longnecks, and i have ridden longnecks before. they are comfy, long, and durable, btu they slip out of my hands like mad.
see my problem is with my hands sweating like crazy. of all the grips ive tried (shwinn, primo, odyssey, big cheese, ares, odi), none of them see to kep their grip while i sweat. i dont want foam grips because after some use they get mushed in. my hands sweat very much and i havent found any grips that work well enough for me to hold the bike up and flip it wround while doing gerators and varials

in the canadian summers right now (27C and higher, with humidity making ti feel like 35C+), i can onyl ride for an hour before i need to stop, and thats with frequent breaks in betweeen. my feet sweat like mad, my arms drip, and my face drips. the heat gives me ingrown hairs on my legs too if i ride with pants because i sweat so much. that temperature doesnt seem like much, but ive always sweat like mad.
hard to breath after a while too. sure drinking fluids alot helps, but with the amount i sweat i probably need about a litre an hour, or more if i ride with pants. and its not exactly easy to bring 6 or 7 litres of water for a long session with a couple friends.
its weird though, because i dont really get too tired afterwards. usually ill ride for an hour or 2, sweat so badly that its hard to get my shirt/pants off because they are drenched, then go swimming for 2 hours to cool down, then i can go riding again. i never really get tired, just extremely dehydrated.
