How are your Profile Nankai Shell's? posted on 2006-04-29 02:47:25

I know this post is useless
I know a few people on here have em,
but, I really think profile (or any company, for that matter) came out with this idea.. way, way too late, considering the nankai has been around for so long still running the ball-race bearings. Releasing them when such awesome complete freecoasters were to be on the market shortly after.. (geisha and Boo) I think boo is alloy shell?? :? for such a huge outlay on the original nankai, then the alloy shell, only to still run shitty ball bearings, why would anyone buy one now?
I have the geisha.. and it kicks ass!!! 8)

Dorkin 11.. That would be ACE!
It would be cool to see all the originals again in the one film, I havent seen any later stuff from Chase and K.J. in a long time. :D

Frame Size? Your Height & Weight? posted on 2006-04-28 18:15:41

I run a 19tt with me being a height of dead on 6' I also run a mike s fork and bar, I find the clearance to be adequate, when just riding and the length of stem to seat great for steams to hiker type tricks..

A shorter and overall smaller bike is easier to maneuver on one wheel, but just riding it around.. you might want a 'just a few more inches' lol

As Byke is saying tt length shouldnt be the only consideration. Frames such as delta 2, Downtown, even the Psychopower would IMO add as much as another 0.5" to the tt length if you drew a line (parallel to the ground) from the stem to where the seat post would be
Just what I reckon anyway. :)

^^^ Dorkin rocks man, I don't know how many times I have seen them, but hell, I reckon I am gunna start burning rings in the dvds soon  ,
One of the first awesome tricks I ever saw on film was K.J. rolling that no footed deathtruck!!!! I was like fark!!!!

KHE Premium Tire posted on 2006-04-26 21:30:49

I bought a set of these tyres when they came out, and the way the tread has held up is incredible. I ran freq g's in the 1.75 for ages, and the compound comparison of the tyres is chalk and cheese. The khe seems to have a more 'gummy' feel to it.
Not to mention that the khe tyre was so so much easier to get on to my rim, where as the g's... fark!.. I had a hard time gettin some of those on the rim.. :x
So if you are used to skinny tyres.. get them, they're worth it!

BTW, is that green bike a newer model KHE equilibrium?

I just joined pedal to maybe contribute to this forum.. I have been a long time 'spy' way, way before the 'red and black' days. There has been so many posts on here that have cracked me up.. The way that some people take 'wise-ass-one-liners' to heart. I tune in everyday.

anyway, just wanted to be part of something I love!!
