THey were talking about the seat itself

How angled it was

Looks like it will go right up your butt
It's becasue it's more comfortable when the bike is in a hang5 type position. Your ass in more stable, you can actually sit on it!

Re: Todays Riding posted on 2006-06-07 05:28:12

Tonight I rode for around just over 2hrs, I tried a few tricks and links that  I should be dedicating more time to..  8-) It had been raining earlier and the ground was pretty damp, so I practised mainly trying to pop straight into a carving halfhiker thing I have being working on.

And mainly trying that classic hang5 seatgrab step over into a halfpacker, I ALWAYS Lean way to far foward when trying to get the halpacker/elepahnt glide to start to spin..  :-P

Still trying to land that BW hiker to FW hiker g-turn, it carves so hard and fast, by the time I grab the seat in a halfhiker on the way down,... the bike shoots straight out..

I'll get there baby... you'll be mine...
Yeh, it was so well done, I used to think I was pretty good at that game.. I could get all the warp whistles, and where all the crazy little secrets were... :-D.... but fark!!! that guy kicked its ass!

One of the best Mario adventures to date.

Re: pimp wheels posted on 2006-06-06 18:07:46

Re: insane super mario posted on 2006-06-06 18:02:19

Just reading that link 'Super mario world'..

I saw a 'time attack' video of some crazy japanese dude playing super mario bros 3.. It was insane. He started the game, and completed it in around 7 minutes+... never got hit once, and finished with 100 lives.

It couldn't have possibly been done any better. :-o

Are these 9t nankai's compatable with the 3/32 (9 speed MTB size) chains? Probably not, but I just wanted to make sure.

Go to any developed English speaking country, or an other language, and they laugh at America.
I'm sure the world would be better off if the Axis powers had conquered the world in World War II. Or if the Soviet Union became the only superpower in the 80s. Or if we just let Israel get wiped off the map. Or if we stopped sending BILLIONS of dollars in aid worldwide, even to countries who are by no means our allies. There are most definitely big problems with current American policy, but you might want to give the United States a bit of credit. And we think you talk funny, too.
So this thread turns into... America's the best.... how predictable.... :-P

How about the annual budget the U.S.A. has for war? (in the billions!)
It is just fuckin ridiculous. How about the huge rates of underprivledged and homeless people this has caused?
Either by using them or continually spending this bullshit amount of the country's money on weapons.. designed and used, to kill.

But hey... If you want to make a 'world super power' omlette, you have to break a few million eggs..

And Stereolab, we think you talk funny, too.

A bike is ok.. but a trick is not.  Styles change.. tricks become outdated.. and it just looks bad.  You can't have the name "flatland" either because languages are not universal.. and a symbol by definition is not made entirely of word..  I personally think that either the flatlandfuel symbol or the flatlander symbols are two of the most universal flatland ideas.. nothing specific, but it gets the point accross.  However, I don't think that using a company's symbol would be appropritate.
Fuckin spot on!!!! well said.

Suelo's 'simple' design of that crudely drawn bike would be an excellent icon I think. With an addition of just the word, 'flat' written in an equally simple way. :-)

However, as this trademark is already associated with a company... it may not be the wisest choice.

YEH!!! or a face!!

Re: flatland symbol posted on 2006-06-02 18:21:42

An assumed 'take' on the NBA symbol... I've seen skateboard ones similar as well.

However, I don't think it would be well suited to a 'universal world known' flatland trademark... being in the american colours and all.... :|

You know, not every flatlander in the world resides in the U.S.A.

isn't standard the only replacement. nonetheless. learn to fix your bike properly. that's why i kept bending my axles...
8-)

Exactly... you're only bending axles because it's you're own fault, heaps of flatters run 3/8 rears and maybe because your on your 18th axle.. (yes exaggeration intended...) look at how you're riding.. if you have broken that many axles, concerntrate on riding just a bit smoother, instead of slamming your backwheel into the ground.

While looking pretty curvy- (front end) it actually retains the strength element of straight tubing... but yes, I know...(extra welding) :-P It's quite an interesting concept.

I wouldn't mind seeing the entire specs.

From first impressions though, I doesn't make me wanna puke.. it's doesn't look that bad at all.
The Daddan on the other hand.............  :|

Or you could try and find some secondhand Sequence bars or use a Sequence zero offset stem and normal bars. There are heaps of options
My bad....

Man!! I am such a dumbass!! I totally forgot about that stem.... You just gave me an idea!
