Re: bmx flatland can be best explained as: posted on 2006-10-04 14:55:37

i just say "flatland is tricks on flat ground"

that's what it is...

though as TJ said people think it's silly until they see it

Re: Seat Height posted on 2006-10-04 12:24:43

Re: Anti-social? posted on 2006-10-03 22:15:26

we flanders tend to be anti-social because alot of flatlanders tend not to have anyone else to ride with so we get used to being alone while we ride

here's part of one of my favorite Linkin Park songs...

I wasted it all on the hands of the clock
But in the end no matter what i pretend
The journey is more important than the end or the start
And what it meant to me will eventually be
A memory of a time I tried so hard - In The End (Hip-Hop Remix)

i'm looking for some beginner/amature videos... posted on 2006-09-24 22:58:35

the only video's i can find are all those experts/pros and i hate seeing the steamroller/halfpacker with a barflip here and there over and over again...

so i've just wanted to check out beginners busting out some beginner links because it's nice to see people at my level of riding

Re: attitudes towards old school posted on 2006-09-23 10:18:08

i don't see anything to laught at if you're doing old school tricks...

i'm still doing trackstands and nose pogos (no back brake so no more backwheel pogos  ), and i always will.

Re: Todays Riding posted on 2006-09-21 21:29:38

just started learning hang 5 yesterday, and i'm trying to get used to sitting on the seat, and most the time i roll ~7ft.

also i started working on wheelchairs with my right hand on the seat, and they're coming nice, but i have trouble steering it.

what's new school now then?

because by the 10yr rule most tricks now are old school
I said the 10 year rule to ME is old skool.  Meaning that the entire industry is included.  Look back 10 years ago at the frames!  Heck, even 5 years ago.  A light flatland frame was 7 pounds!  Now they are 4 pounds or less!  Yes tricks are more advanced now too, and even in the next ten years I'm sure someone will be doing something that we are just thinking of talking about now, so please! don't kill me cause "I" said 10 years.  Later!
well from what i've heard most people think old school ~15 years old

so what's new school now though?
