Yeah.
Supposedly they make a complete that weighs like, 19 pounds or so.
But I still don't think that 3 pounds is worth a grand.

Give him a break. I can see where he's coming from.
He's riding a 24 so he's more comfortable.
But I agree you should get a new bike.
Look for a Shadow Invisible Man.
The best 24 on the market.

One footers also help. Or at least knowing how to do them.
If not, I learned how to do one footers doing fastplants.
But whatever, I hope this helps.

I think you should get the bottom bracket that fits your frame.
And I also think you should get the Stolen Team cranks.
