I thought I'd seen everything imaginable happen to a wheel. Until now. Haha that shit is crazy.
Immigrant hypocrisy/ "Mexicos Glass House" posted on 2006-04-10 00:19:23
Yea, it's ironic about the Mexican government I guess, and your point is...we should be like them? Or that the immigrants should deny their national heritage?
Another ironic thing is this: California originally belonged to Gabrielinos (sp.?) which were...Native Americans. This was then taken by the Spanish, which was then taken by the Mexicans, which was then taken by the Americans. So technically, if we should recognize these states as anything non-American, it should be indigenous american.

I used to work at an instrument repair shop.
Now I go to school at CSULA and for money to get by rollcages and random welding/fab jobs. Also have a band, but we don't really make money yet. (Shameless self promotion http://myspace.com/kingsheadmusic ... http://kingsheadmusic.com <--full downloadable EP)

I'll take a look, but I mostly prefer street, just because I have a lot of stuff going on and I can go whenever I want =] Also I think street allows you to be the most creative. But parks are fun, thanks for the info. Anyway, I think it'd be easier to say, if you see me riding, come say hi and let's go ride =P I ride a black T1 barcode with semi-small gearing (30/11). I ride mostly in Pasadena and Downtown.
Best way to bring a bike on a plane? posted on 2006-04-02 19:01:56
I thought it was funny that UK doesn't let bikes on the "railways". In LA you can take your bike on the rails no problem.

Are you going through spokes also? Or just little bends?

You'll get used to anything, I've ridden a lot of bikes (S&M dirtbike and next gen dirtbike, some FBMs, etc, right now I'm riding a T1) and pretty much all of them you get used to, in my opinion.
Some questions about cassette hunbs posted on 2006-04-02 18:50:37
Right now I'm using Primo cassette in the rear (and a Primo in the front too) They're really nice, like them a lot.

Haha. Well I just ride in downtown every few nights, so I was just curious if anyone else rides down around there, or where ever. I wouldn't mind meeting up with someone just by going to the same spot, but specifically meeting a time and place with someone online seems weird =P Pm me some spots you go to. Seems like a lot of the places I've gone by have more security than the airport =P

If you watch most people (pros included) the actual 180 isn't all in the air. They'll carve slightly like everyone else said, then when their front wheel is in the air, they'll continue to slightly pivot on their rear wheel before they bhop. Mostly likely with all the pivoting/carving, it'll turn out to be more of a 110-150 degree turn rather than a 180 til you keep doing it. Then it will become like a 160-170.
How many flatlanders are there in the world? posted on 2006-03-27 00:16:52

Very hard question indeed, but if I had to guess. I'd say between,(Just strictly flatlanders)10,000-30,000. 2/3's of which are in Japan...... :?  Thats my guess.
i dont even think there are that many street riders.....lol
If this were true, bike companies wouldn't make any money. I don't know about that exact number, but there's a lot of riders.

I searched about LA but only found old, dead threads. I just moved to the city from north Orange County. As said in another post, I haven't ridden in a long long time, basically because my time has been occupied with work, school, and my band (had knee surgery a while ago so I started a band). Anyway, since I moved to Los Angeles, I bought a bike because of all the crazy street stuff I see just driving or on the train whatever. Just wondering if there are any street riders on this forum (I'm in the Highland Park general area). Thanks a lot (and I haven't ridden hard for probably 5 or 6 years, so I'm rusty =] - I stopped when I was only 15.)
