The Eastern have recently been nicely upgraded.
It'll cost you more, of course, but the 2005/2006 Eastern Jane is definitely not a bad buy.
Although, i like to buy american usually.

There are ( were ) four Vans skateparks in the USA.
I lived 8 minutes from the one in Novi, Michigan.
It's now owned by Modern Skate/Surf, and they greatly improved it: Added a spine, some small mobile ramps, grind boxes, better rails, a tiny mini which is fun to air out of and stall the railing.
But alas, i no longer reside in Michigan.
I used to ride with the Infantry crew, and any friends of Joe Weatherly, who owns Biketown USA in Wixom.

aw, man....
James Holden is without a doubt in my top 5 musicians
of all time.
He's simply amazing.
But, you have to be in a severely altered state of mind to really understand or appreciate his music.

Starting out takes time. You're not going to be airing far out of quarters for a while. try carving the qarter, just ride in an arc across it, until you get real comfortable on your bike. Ride up the quarter onto the deck, drop back in, you'll get the feel for it after not too long.

The only wallride i saw in the virtual tour of that skatepark was an 8 foot wide vert wall on the quarter.
I'd strongly recommend getting quarter airs real solid before going onto the wall.
But assuming you've got that down, here's my knowledge on wallrides out of quarters.
Air the quarter normally, but suck your bike up as you leave the coping in order to carry your weight into the wall and give you traction.
Think of it as you climbing up the wall, then jumping off. Not stright up, as you'd drop to fakie.
just ride up the wall, carving and turn your head to look back at the tranny ( it's a scary view, but you heve to see where you're going )
It's only an 8 foot wide wall so you can't go to far, you might just want to wallslap it first, which is the same thing only you don't travel, you just air, hit, pull off, land.
Anyway, when you are starting to descend, it's essential that you bunnyhop off the wall. that takes time to get the feel right, because youre going damn sideways and it feels weird. as you hop off the wall, make sure to turn, as you don't want to land sideways in the tranny and break your fase. landing is more scary than difficult, so once you get a feel for it and get up off the ground when you fall the first time(and you will, so be ready for it), just keep trying, my words can't make you a better biker, you gotta go ride !

Well, what happend to me is i leaned to far over and fell onto the deck.
it's scary, but you gotta keep your weight out over the tranny.
Takes time, like everything.
