If you have anti-spin pins in your front pegs, try
putting them in your fork pin side first, it will raise
the front of your bike up maybe half an inch or so, and
will effectively put your front wheel at dead center
in your fork.
that might solve it.

Not one of those is anything remotely resembling chillout....althrough APC and Hendrix For The Win.....we're talking about literal ambient chillout trance, bro. Y'know, electronic music?

What are some basics to learn? posted on 2006-04-20 02:38:50
The one trick you can never, ever get too much practice at:
Manuals.
I've been riding for years, and my manuals are still pathetic. Go practice them, it takes a long, long, long time to dial them.

....
Is this honestly a decision you can't make on your own?
Do you dress your self in the morning?
Do you do your own laundry?
It seriously can't be this difficult....

Being poor is no excuse for getting rid of your bike.
That's just wrong.
I was homeless for 5 months....never even considered it.

Happy 420 inDEED ^___^
I don't have any herb this year tho....makes me teh sad T__T
The " normal " gear ratios are:
51-18
44-16
41-15
39-14
36-13
33-12
30-11
28-10
25-9
Those all equal roughly 2 3/4
If you want to deviate from that, it'd have to have a good purpose, such as flatland, where you could run a 25-12 or so, for more torque.
In your opinion wich pedal is better? posted on 2006-04-20 02:26:06
The new Hamiltons are good, true.
But the dispute between Tenderizer / Cilencki is pretty stupid.
Jim's pedals are a little over half the weight of the Primo, prettier, and much easier to work on. I am, of course, assuming that you're not goign to get the steel version of JC's pedal.....the mag version is the only one there is.
Good Days posted on 2006-04-15 11:23:15
Bad days can be frustrating, sure, but when you ride away clean from that rail you wanted so bad, you'll be so happy you'll forget all the bad days.
50 degrees and cloudy, a light breeze, chillin with your friends at the miniramp, just havin fun. That's what bmx is about. Yeah, you go on street missions and you get real focused and you want to get some stuff done--make some progress, but at the end of the day, what matters is whether or not you enjoyed it.

I have a better idea: Spend more money. Get a dk 4pack or a Fit Team. Bmx is expensive, no way around it.
Try an Eastern, Jane or Ace of Spades, they're good enough to start out with.

Street, trails, in NC? posted on 2006-04-15 10:01:08
To get to 401, get on Fayetteville rd. ( AKA 401 )
If yo'ure coming from NC State campus, take Western Blvd to Lake Wheeler rd, and head south for around ten minutes or so. You'll pass Tryon rd...Keep going south, you'll pass Lake Wheeler ( the lake )...keep going until you get to Ten Ten. Turn left, and head east for about a mile and you'll hit Fayetteville Rd. ( 401 )
Head south on Fayetteville rd and watch on your right hand side for OakVale rd, it's a small subdivision with surprisingly few houses. Anyway, turn in on Oakvale rd and just go straight until it splits off to the left. Park your car at the left turn because the residents there don't like you parking near their house. follow the road off to the left and when the street ends at the top of the hill there is a path in the woods, just follow the street and keep going straight.....take that path into the woods and you'll find 401.....Say hey to Gil Whitten, he's the reason those trails are so gorgeous at the moment. You'll be lucky if David Stroud or Lance Parbst are there, they shred like it's their job.
Have fun !
