Rob, droppin'the Dealio, was in T-dot sorting out politics for June 3rd date, left a message with your lady I called.
It was great seeing all the concrete( grind locks) at the T.O city hall, shame no riding it.
Spoke to Kinsmen Prez, they are gonna see about a space for a Jam, I'm gonna have to Ed-U-ma-cAte them more. People are getting
tightass about their concrete, precious public concrete. There are some NO's in the way, just need to shake it off.

Music for the day: WU-Tang Clan
Grounding of the day: DK to the Go, checkin in the Black: Guerilla's and Tasmanian Devil: Chillin' at The Metro Zoo.
No mood for people today. Ya'll know spring/summer is cumin'up, woman's perspective, when a jerk rolls back his car n tries to pick ya
up while ya standing waiting for a street car, askin if ya wanna lift: I said to him where I need to go its gonna take less than 5min and my
posse is waiting down the road: straight and calm. What's scary is the mutherfucker acts like he knows me, so cars going by would not
know whuts up. This is how young girls get dragged into cars with out help. DK wrenches can be handy sometimes as long as one knows
how to use it. KUNG-FU! Mind you a 38 speaks louder.

On a good note more riding soon, and hopefully WE all can make some awesome Jams for Flatland happen.

Kick Back- Enjoy today ya'll!

Rob I'll will give you a shout Sat. Kinsmen just had a meeting Thurs., I'm will contact their President Sat too, let them know about
BMX/Flatland being in involved during their shindig. Cory, I have the zines, pm so WE can figure out a way to forward it you. WE just the printed these, so my ASC Bro's have not seen these yet, but they are happy about content. Its a humble little zine nothing flashy or
glossy, and WE like it that way.
It's free.

Sq Foot on the realistic measure I've suggested 40-60, for the pusher 60-100. Yes I did consider future comps on that surface. I also made
a decision. ASC/WE are longer calling it BMX/BIKE Concrete Park but BMX Concrete Park. So respect is given to those 3 letters alone,
and people need ED-U-ma-Cation, no more trick biking crap, ya dig what I'm sayin'?

Today I contacted the City of Toronto for their Bike Week event, they are stoked about getting involved with CineCycle to do another DVD nite for June 3rd. This time WE wanna showcase to the General Public. Everything that can be seen/done on 20", for viewing.
I've discussed the whole TD/Ham Jams and they wanna get in touch C.P/CFO BMX to do something similar on the Toronto City Hall Concrete during the opening of Bike Week. City of T.O had the Free Riders do their take last year, its time for the so called 20" to roll it.

K. so here's my fav saying:
Now I have to get of my knees cuz I have some shopping to do, and shop is not my name.

Yo Rob, are you wanting to do something BMX/Flatland that is not
just At the Velo. I will know soon of some confirmed dates just for demos and Jamming May 26-28, that the Kinsmen/Kinette want to promote.
I just forward them a copy of the Sauga BMX zine:
It features the ASC/UTM FLT Jam.
Rob really like the idea of you wanting to bring this sport/Art
for general public.

Not one Flatland rider suggested SQ foot requirements for the BMX Concrete Park, so I've recommended the measurements to the City of Mississauga.
Love'N'hate: reminds me of the movie
The Night of the Hunter with Robert Mitchum, damn he's so fine in that movie. Its my head concussion on 38+ so no offence to anyone, you aged riders know how it is: creates tangents then slip of the wrist. By the way I love the way C.G rides, he reminds me of Sk8er Jay Adams, so natural on the tech:
pure blood flow....ENDE NEU.....

London, Ontario Contest - May 19, 20 & 21 posted on 2006-03-13 17:19:24

This is BMX/Bike Concrete Park, NOT for Sk8boarding. Read carefully. If you don't know what the park looks like check our ASC site
under the news section there is a image that WE revised after Jay designed it for The ASC:

Concrete BMX Park Project-The ASC has a design for a 24,000 sq. foot concrete BMX park. The design is based off of one done by pro BMX rider Jay Miron. The City of Mississauga is doing a business plan in order to determine the viability of constructing a $500,000K plus park for BMX. ASC, with the help of fundraising contests, and corporate sponsors; is planning to raise $100,000 towards the project. The start date for this project is tentatively set for 2007.

It does not matter if you live is Sauga or not public parks are for anyone from any where to use: on that note I spoke to the feasibility study coordinator and clearly stated BMX history must acknowledge Flatland. Mentioned ASC has held a FlatLand event to prove it's stability also well various events taking place in support of this sport. To acknowledge that Flatland riding brings progression to the BMX sport. It's a concrete sport, (WE want mention FlatGrass riding by the Jamaican BMXers... HA!). Recommend a Flat section along the side of
the facility, it will not be separate on site from the park. Regardless there is a need for Flat section just as that placed at the Mississauga SkateBoard Park. They are and will consider these issues and hopefully fall through with it. Who cares if its one freaking rider
comin'al the way from Timbuktu wanting to Fltsurf as long he/she knows its exists at a concrete BMX Park! So the rider mentioning in the
some thread sim along these lines "YO kats, I can't ride the lot or the cave no more security chasing ma ass", mind you WE'll ride
whatever, be there a park or not, but hey its nice to know there is a free public place one can goto with out the tagging/chasin'.

I've been asked how much flat surface is required along one of the sections of the park. So take a look at the park, riders suggest
something realistic here in regards to sq. foot. I'm stoked to say they are not comparing this to SK8boarding anymore!!!! Its about time.
They are considering volume, density and numbers in accordance to BMX use.

Negative thinking when it comes to Park building or putting on events and comps brings nothingness, in the end one automatically will
learn in the process what works and does not. Nothing is perfect. All One I can do is bring awareness that this facility fully encompasses
BMX riding, hopefully they will do that. I'm letting you all in on a whole lot what ASC does for the Sports its represents in this
PedalBMX public forum, we usually do 'n 'don't discuss much. ........N

Rob, that's nice of you, anything I want huh? Well..
I'll mention the invite to ASC, its not an easy thing what YOU are wanting to do. Nor has it been for all the riders but things are changing for the better. Its amazing.

Cheers

Rob: Biggie respect to ya for fully supporting Flatland and making sure they are not neglected and getting equal representation.

Thought I'd share this with you all. The ASC has been advocating for "safe" public parks for the past 31/2 years.
WE have managed to have the city build 7 free so called "action sports" parks in total. The Mississauga Sk8 Park would have taken much longer to built, but with the support of the ASC BMXers the existence of that facility came into reality quicker. A facility they cannot ride. AS you all know there is no outdoor free concrete public facility created for BMX/Bikes. This is so ridiculous I got
news today security is fining close to $400.00 just for showing with a bike at the SK8 Park they are not warning at this point: straight fines. I'd like to see human rights board stepping in at this point! So where will they expect Johnny to ride? There will be an increase of BMX riding in whatever form with the influence of BMX in the Olympics. Right now there is a Sk8er
at every street down the road, soon there will a BMXer too. The cities better get used to wheel sports commanding youth.
Cory Dee no offense when I write, read between the lines. "They" been comparing the Sk8 community and Industry to BMX in ON on every level. ASC is trying to change that. "They" are slowing starting to get this.
I've only one thing to stand by: That Which Makes You Weak Will Make You Strong( hence CFOBMX comp at the 2006 Bike Show). Everything has time/place/reason.
The Vaughn Park is closed and the nearest public park that is user friendly allowing bikes is in Niagara.
A good time to confront the City in building the BCP( BMX/Bikes Concrete Park). Be you a vert/street/flatland/dirt rider, you've all participated in signing the ASC petition during 2004-2006 Metro Jam and International Bike show, and during all our competitions and events.
I'm glad to inform ya'll, that the City of Mississauga with the influence of the ASC has taken the petitions seriously and placed it into their feasibility study about BMX. You've all seen what the BCP looks like having been to our booth and events, I will suggest they include in their Recommendation Draft a section/surface for FlatLand. I want to thank you all in
the Flatland community riders/organizers, our last events involving your participation will enable ASC to have the
ammunition to make the city aware of what is all BMX, and the need to move forward, no more waiting in getting the free public park in process.
I want to inform you of some of the questions the city is reviewing for their study:

Background and history of BMX:
I'll inform about the role of Flatland Riding too, as far as I/ASC is concerned without Flatland, BMX would not evolve or progress. At the Metro Jam street comp, one or 2 of the riders employed flatland skills during their run, and I think recalled this move also being displayed/used in latest the MacNeil DVD. What is that moved called? The front wheel is rolling and rider is off the sit not using pedals, his/her body weight is forward holding onto the bars or sit, OMG,
phunking bad description on my part!!! Anyway main thing ensuring they include Flatland surface.

BMX:
They better discuss/include Flatland historics: Shall use ASC proof /back up, thanks to our events and Big *smooch* to Jeff D: you included our ASC/UTM JAM and Hugs to C.P/CFOBMX for support/attendance!

Recommendations:
Surface on site for Flatland riding, similar to flat surface they placed at the Mississauga Sk8 park so
Sk8 beginners can practice, but bigger at The BCP.

The City has assigned someone to draft the feasibility study, The Action Sports Coalition will look into how it's coming along and making sure they get it right.

Timelines
Complete first draft with recommendations ñ Week of March 13th. I'll be calling ASAP first thing in the morning to make
sure Flat surface is included.
The City will Present Study and recommendations to ASC ñ mid April.
You all should be aware most of the cities and yes Toronto looks towards Mississauga when it comes to Parks and Rec.especailly when it comes to BMX, Sk8 and MTB, so they can follow the same direction.

For this rider(Sk8boarder/cyclist/hoping to surf since my 2nd try in NorCal), the support, motivation and inspiration from from BMX/Sk8/MTB - FLATLAND communities WE represented and in association, anyone whatever walk of life means whole lotta to the hearts of all THE ASC volunteers. Sounds cheezy and coming from the Big Cheeze, well whatever, long winding no other way to say all this.

Ten Pack: No support
CFO: organized and supported/own entity

Toronto International Bike Show(TIBS) + Flatland : I got it.

Sorry for grand ignorance, remember this incoherent gal is semi new to this aspect of BMX riding. I think what CFO/riders/shops whoever supporting the comp are all amazing.
My favorite riding over the years at the Bike show is FLATLAND, and guess what? This is the first year I missed the comp, even though I
was there for 3 days! I couldn't even be a spectator, if it had not been for the DVD nite I would not have gotten to see you all ride.

Its time for me to go, if there is an ASC event etc...our ASC guys will post it.

'Aight thanks for the clarifications. The riders now know ply ain't happening. I'm aware of the politics/show tight ropes, overall Flatland was In The On at the TIBS. CONGRATS!!!!!

Jay Miron is amazing and humble considering all the stress and how busy he gets. I don't know anyone in the BMX/CND industry who puts in time for people the way he does. He(actions) keeps ASC/Myself motivated through out the year (aftermath Metro). Damn he looks
good and OMG younger now that he can't drink! Jay is a man's man.

CFO'S Flatland's Unlimited Results!!!!! posted on 2006-03-06 21:53:10

WOW Ply set up be can be costly.
You all + The CFO should think about hitting sponsors, Home Depot etc...after all they do sponsor events and have done so at the
Ricoh Coliseum itself or any large company that supplies ply. The organization needs a smart cookie to get the sponsorship happening for
the Flatland scene in ON, I was talking to Jay Miron, on the Thursday before the Metro, "it's getting big, you gonna need a bigger venue in the next year or so, more sponsors more HeeHaw, but they'll need more room for booth set up ".
If "Mr. Tony the Tiger" you know who I'm talking about, dude get Kellogg's to sponsor down the road for FlatJam at the Bike show next
year. They sponsor WEST 49 World Cup. I know West 49 at one point did promote BMX, I think they wanna get on that track again.
Some times the biggest support comes from outside the Bike industry, but one needs to make sure when dealing with corps that the so
called "action sports community vision" is preserved. Things are gonna change so much, with the intro/influence of BMX racing at the
Olympics.
You all(Londoners) should concentrate on your May 24 gig. Get the media to cover it!
Any way I've gotta get stuff rolling for ASC Sk8Board comp for Sept., and before that Father's day fundraiser for the BMX/Bikes Only
Concrete Park better known as the BCP, hope you all come out to that fundraiser event because I'm suggesting the city place an
area/surface for Flatland so all aspects of concrete bike riding can be done in this public facility.
CRISPY (CP) you got the right thinking.

Ya' ll Take care n keep on it.
