what the hell this dude not even making sense now were commenting on what we've seen to tell him don't get suced into the hype, and he says thats an oppinion, i thought it could be considered advise, but obvisously, i'm real confused now. :?
Re: Stem posted on 2006-10-09 23:13:43
yes dusty is extremeley correct, no doubt about it.
i once remember hereing one of the local dk riders talk about how he just walks into the distributers or something and basically just take what part they want, i think i once even read or heard one of the dk riders saying something along the lines, of they ride the dk chopsticks despite they break them frequently, just because they then go and grab another set, no worries, not there money there spensding.
If a company comes out with a part that is there newest part and they want to sell a lot of them, then they can force some of their big name pros to ride that part despite, it may not actually be any good, just because kids like you think that way, then they go spend there moey on the companies most recent venture.
I remember reading about how the people who rode for huffy back in the day actually had custom built frames, not just the standard frame done to their specs and made quality as opposed to everythig else, although, they were set up to look like the standard ones.

yeah that seems like a good deal, I'm with the dude above me, go for it if yo can spare the cash, f you can't afford it don't worry, but i would if i could scratch it together, i reckon ti spindle, next to axles are the only ti parts that seem even worth bothering dealiing with. anyway it's up to you, your cash.
Re: Best bike-related deal you've scored? posted on 2006-10-06 07:21:15
hmm theres been a few, most recent probably 14 aus dollars shipped for a titanium spindle off ebay, so probly like 10 usd or so. Although, i was the one to spot it and do the leg work i did get it for a mate as i don't have a use for it, where as he can.
I once got a cook bros racing stem, i traded a kid at my school, for an old elcheapo stem, then i ended up finding, out tht i was even better than i thought, and basicaly traded for enough parts to setup a 1980 mongoose, minus a few pieces, and some other parts, redline mxii forks skyway baloni cut forks, etc. yet i could most likely have done better, I was told, if say i ebayed it and then bought stuff myself, but i was happy to do that.
thats the 2 that pop to mind at the moment.

I aint managed to strip my ELementry yet so...
haha but don't forget that 2 cromoly bolt, verse the average, alloy stem, cromo bolt.
and know means to sound like a prick, but i'm jst wondering, are you sure it had nothing to do with you doing up the bolts on an angle, or anything to do with stripping the threads from missassembly, and stripping it that way, not just from torquing it. I assume not but i just wonder especialy after those three stems.

hey dude, he said he already has that one, and it's not doing the job, just by the way, did you do this in safe mode right? you havn't just been doing it in normal mode have you, safe mode is a lot more ffective. theres others who should be able to.
Re: Spyware removal help needed! posted on 2006-10-05 04:52:13
go o download.com and download hi jack this, after scanning with spybot and adaware. then find wha it is, and search for it using hijack this, and use it to remove it. atleast try this if you think you caan handle it but be quite careful with it.

yeah thanks for the pics, from what i can see from the pics, it's the standard rail style seat. so i won't worry about it, sorry, thanks anyway dude. good luck selling it all.
Re: Three-piece. posted on 2006-10-05 02:05:17
ill say similair, but my advise is run en for a little while, but scroll the forumn. nd you could easily pick up a bargain, i payed about 70 us for new 41 thermal cranks off here, so check the forumn, and get the used quallity, not the unused laclk of quality.
Re: stem posted on 2006-10-05 01:56:47
just out of interest did you actually take the bars off and clean the inside of the stem, then grease the bolts, and bolts only do it up using the above offered method, and make sure it the face plate went down easily, or did you just undo 2 bolts readjust and crank on those 2 only.

-Primo Hemmorhoid seat with post and clamp (post is not the old school ones with guts and everything, its the one that just clamps on the seat..)
hey first off will you ship international, it's no harder than local, just i find some choose to be pains about it. second any pics, im sorta cofused, do you mean it's a hemoroid seat using the macniel style combo? where a little behind with some parts over here, and certain parts they plain and simply choose not to release over here.
Also can you get postage cost to australia postcode 4125, preferably though US airmail, but which ever is cheapest that you cn work out, and preferably not seamail, as it's known to take several months to get here.
Also what price wroughly do you want for it i've got no idea what i could offer with conversion and such so just give me a price and whchever currency it's in, eg canadian dollars, us dollars.
thanks

yeah i used to when i was younger to stop the blisters, but you still sorta get the calises, so then you have to deal with les of the pain of blisters, but mine got pretty fucked, and i didn't see a need to replace them. but now i wear them race nights, due to regulations, otherwise i can't be fucked, i guess with my current race grips it's good im wearing them,
just my 2 cents.

why do u give a $#!+ if he carrys tools or he doesn't...and i seriosly doubt u ride nonstop for 30 miles and ur alwasy within 5 minutes of ur house...
just felt like talking shit as it just seems a little silly.
he came on msn and explained he doesn't ride like 30mile away but like around his area basically within 5 mins always of his house, is it just me or is it like some dude that rides park for say 9hours, although, there staying within a tiny area, there puting in quite a bit of distance, and i doubt 30 miles, but i doubt he does either, he probly rides what that local park rider might ride by the sounds of it.
this is just me but even when just riding in front of my hoouse ill generally have my tools, it atleast saves me from having to stop go in get the tools readjust it then go bck up and hope i did it right, where as i could just drop the walk a couple meters grab the tools fix it and done. also i mainly just carry the tools for sy something gets out of whack etc. no normally a replacement thing, and to say adjust the seat around. etc.
Re: Win A New SickChild Frame Here! posted on 2006-10-03 08:28:59
haha nah it's cool, worded to sorta make that point, also something messed up with the profile, so i guess I might check that out, maybe ill even throw up an avator well im at it and fix it up.
Yeah i could think of something sounds pretty funny in my head but it would probly sound stupid if i was to type it up, but it's along the lines of, going.
You guys say canadians are slow, but look at yourselves, your like 3/4 of a day behind us Aussies, fuck.
But it probly sounds real lame typed.
meh nyway it's all good, someone shoould be getting a new frame? i wonder who.
