Wasn't Haro at some time the original rider-owned company?
Yep, and it's funny to me, because todays rider owned companies will have the same problem 20 years down the road. Bob Haro started it from scratch, and it kept growing and growing, to what we see today. Same with GT. Gary Turner wanted his own company, so he did the same thing. I can see the "Hoffmans, Mirras, and all the other rider owned companies", 20 years from now, "Dude don't buy that crap, it's soo corportate, get a rider owned bike" (which by then it will be from the 6 year old down your street riding with trainnng wheels).
haha yeah very true, i'm already seeing a bit of that about hoffman.

Re: Finally willing to break down and get a cassette but one question posted on 2006-11-04 00:39:24
sorry dude but i don't believe they make a cog for it, you may actually have a problem running it the lockring spacing and such, so be aware.
you can run one on a regular 1/8" tooth freewheel, but just not to sure about it with a cassete.
Think you may have to face the music and go regular width, but i'm not exactly shure, but it may be an issue, anyway good luck with trying it.

so far so good, but you probly would want to resell it, it seems like it wouldn't be good for the hubflange but yeah no complaints about it yet.
umm is wasn't to bad but took a bit to get my head around how it was from what pics i had, and took a few hours more to do.

But just letting ya'll know its more limited than the RIP cause a lot of people dont know just how few of them there are.

haha fuck i'd say your less biased than i would expect anyone in your situation to be, you didn't state anything other than an unknown fact that was bought up relating to the other, it's amazing to see someone actually that unbiased in this case, that's awsome to see that. 8-)

and these are off the net
personally I never got to ride the one that was laced with an offset radial, as i found the hub didn't fit when i went to fit it, after fitting my new forks, do'h, but i ended up scoring a nice wheel for a good price not much later luckily, and had a heap of shit fo the meantime.
The red one, so far so goo, but i think it might be bad for the hub flange.
and third standard 3x, believed to be the best all round lace pattern, well tried and tested.
snow flake, i havn't used so no comment.
and standard radial, i ran one and had no problem with it, but no pic of it.
hope this is of some use, and what do you think of the red wheel?

oh ok, wait do you mean your dad will buy you the bars :? :-D
if thats the case, i'd say try and chip a few dollars in maybe and get the better ones.
If you just mean the only money you recieve is from working for your dad and shit then yeah i see your problem, it's a real pain, i'm not quite sure sure what we can tell you, if you can only afford the hoffmans, then i ccan't really see us posting anythin about the seulo's, of any use?, if it's a matter of you might be able to sort out the extra, and want advice to help decide if the extra cash is worth it for you?ae the extra i'm not sure
Re: adapter for profile sprocket =| ? posted on 2006-10-29 21:56:17
just a thought, if it is the 22.2mm by rights it should fit but you do have the option of drilling it out to 23.8 and getting an adapter from there. But i don't believe that is right as i believe it is 23.8, which means you can get a different hat washer to step it down, the other thing ou can do if it is 22.2mm, which i doubt.
Is you get an old soda can, and cut a strip about 5mm diameter and wap it around, adjusting in length until suitable. i did this because i had sprocket but couldn't get an adapter for it anywhere, and it took me ages to get to a bike shop, that had the apropriate one in stock, so go and get those vernier calipers out, and anyway by right 0.2mm on the diameter is barely noticable and wouldn't actually matter.
anyway i hope this helps, and maybe check up on a couple sites, as i believe it's about 23.8 but am not 100% on exact, so go cross check around before drilling anything out.
Re: Another crazy bike idea posted on 2006-10-29 16:27:10
haha you an your ideas, man keep on thinking, maybe next one will be a good one, although, i have heard this thought discuss several times, theres something about it that people just seem to have trouble getting there head around as your far froim the first with this idea, ohwell. and yeah it's normally after people realize these trial bike riders that do it, then they get your that thought pattern, ohwell.

sorry as i said it was just some dude on his phone, i don't even bother learning who 3/4s of the people are at my school, so i guess your just gonna have to decide to believe it or not, hmm so may i be telling the truth or not yours to decide
haha, ahwell i can't prove it to you, i might ask a couple people around about it but meh, i'm lazy.
Re: decision, which handlebars? posted on 2006-10-29 14:24:24
so in other words, a bar your not to fond of, but i half the price, or orthe suelos which you do like but are double the price of the others, well nearly, it comes down to this really, are you willing to spend the extra to get what you actually want or to save the cash, and get something that you don't quite connsider correct for yourself.

Re: wtf has the world come to? posted on 2006-10-29 04:00:41
haha, ah it was funny as, when i was at school one day, some dude had his phone and was showing people this clip of a couple having sex in the next toilet, because it was either him or his friend or something were at a night club or something the night bfore or in the last couple days, and had stuck his phone over the top of the cubicle as these 2 were going at it in the next cubicle, and then eventually you here this chick go oh shit it's camera.
and no i don't think it was the rght thing to do, but i also see that as a pretty fucked up thing to be doing in there, so i wouldn't side with either of them. Also you should've heard it they were loud as, it was pretty fucking funny to hear.
