who invented the gyro? posted on 2005-12-12 22:36:25
i thought SST was around before they Gyro even came out. back in 1985 or so i had an SST laid back seatpost and a friend of mine had an SST coaster brake and a SST front hub. i could be wrong. i just remember the ACS Rotor being the only detangler besides that goofy one that was built in the stem.

What's the worst that could happen ;-D posted on 2005-12-07 01:43:20
back in 1987 i was learning bar-rides. i was riding about 10 miles from home at a scession, and bailed an attempted bar-ride. my right ankle snapped when i landed and i was in major pain. i couldnt even walk. i called my mom to come get me and she refused because i was getting hurt soo much at the time for riding. so, i called my neighbor and she refused also. so i had to ride back one footed and it took me hours. luckily i had a freewheel so that i can just crank the pedals one-footed. my mom wouldnt even take me to the doctor. to this day i dont even know if i sprained my ankle or broke it.

rad dad, try and do them from a firehydrant. it seems easier to me because i can adjust my weight as the frame is swinging back around. let me know if that helps.

Why or how? posted on 2005-11-23 22:18:18
probably around 1985 a local bike shop had 2 quarter pipes sitting side by side and the guy that worked there rode em. man he was good. he was doing 540's across the channel and lookbacks way up there. one day i walked out of the shop and he was doing flail boomerangs. i thought it was the funniest/coolest things ive ever seen anyone do on a bike. i was hooked. me and my buddies hung out with him and his crew for awhile and learned a dumpload of tricks. he eventually left and rode for Ringling Bros circus and didnt see him for many years. his name was Robert Saucedo if anyone has heard of em. i finally got in touch w/ him and he came out to one of our sessions @ lake arlington here in tx. hes a family man now and likes to jump dirt bikes.
