Man, I used to come to this site all the time!  I MAYBE come here once a month now.  What the hell happened???  The site did change a couple of times and it was real easy to get used to.  But now, come on, it takes 3 days and 7 nights just to open something.  I think it comes under the "Don't fix it if it isn't broken." saying.  This will probably be my last post on this forum since I have found more interesting sites when it comes to flatland and bmx.  Anyway, thanks for all the cool updates until now.

Re: Pedal Pickers and other random oldschool questions. posted on 2007-05-20 00:56:15

Back in the day, pedal pickers were easy.  Yes, a coasterbrake is the best way to learn them.  I used to be able to ride into them and decade out.  The easiest way that I learned them was do an endo, have your left pedal up, put all the pressure on your left foot as your back end hits the ground.  Jump up and switch feet and you swing your left foot over to the other pedal and start hopping.  Very simple, very easy.

I have 2 home vids of the Xtrials I was at in Grand Prairie Tx. May '01.  It has alot of Hiro and York Uno and a bunch of pros on it.  Other riders include: Matt Wilhelm, Dan Rigby, Art Thomasson, Day Smith, Brian Huffman, York, Hiro, Nathan P, Martie K, Alex J, DMC, Mirra, Terry Adams, Cory Strat, Stephan Cerra, and various Japanese riders.  Those dudes were busting out with some rad stuff back then.

I agree with everyone on this.  Sorry, but this forum is the worst I've ever seen.  I'll post a reply and it never shows up.  I can't post pics.  The "quick jump" at the bottom of the page doesn't work.  Hopefully everything will work out.  Lately, I've been going to Globalflat.com.  It seems pretty cool but not as many posts either.

I rode with Pos and Randall yesterday in Oakcliff.  I am currently working in Richardson at RISD installing wire-less internet access in about 35 schools.

I rode under Toys R Us alot a couple of years ago and got kicked out a couple of times.  It's a nice spot, but skaters f'd up alot of stuff down there.  It's a perfect spot for night or winter riding.

Is it the garage under Toys R Us?

Dude, that looks like the parking garage on Josey and 635.  Is it?

Re: stolen bike idea... posted on 2006-11-07 17:22:49

I heard of that back in the early 80's.  Good idea, but if they took your bike and stripped it, all you you have claim to is the bars or frame.  Unless you put it in every nook and crannie of your bike.

Wolfgang joins the band.. posted on 2006-11-07 17:17:37

G4tv.com's TheFeed reports that Eddie Van Halen's spokesperson has confirmed the band is rehearsing and writing for a summer 2007 tour with Eddie's son Wolfgang on bass duties.

"Yes...Wolfgang [is] the new bass player for the band and, yes, he has been in the studio with his dad and uncle rehearsing and writing for an upcoming summer 2007 tour," Eddie's rep Janie Liszewski said. "Wolfgang most certainly has inherited the Van Halen musical genius gene. At 15 years of age his knowledge, understanding, skill, and command of multiple instruments is impressive."

She also confirmed that Michael Anthony is out of the group. Regarding the rumors of David Lee Roth fronting the band on this upcoming trek, Liszewski said, "There has been no confirmation that David Lee Roth will be touring this coming summer."

One can only hope...

Id ride the hell out of that man.  Only if they would'nt put that gay ass 73.5 HT angle or whatever, and you have no choice but to run a gay ass 0 offstet forks.

Re: Psycho-evolution ? posted on 2006-11-06 18:57:34

Man, that's bad ass.  If it was a 19"+ frame with  75 deg headtube, I'd probably be in the market.  The way the frames are made now, probably not.

I hear ya man.  These guys play super fast and aren't "cookie monster" metal.  They just bring back memories of the first Dream Theatre when I heard them on Z-Rock.  Since then, I've got as much Dream Theatre as I could.  These guys, DF, are Dream Theatre x 10.  Long live power metal.

Vinnie Paul's new band: HELL YEAH posted on 2006-10-31 18:27:36

Former PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott has confirmed that his new band with members of MUDVAYNE and NOTHINGFACE has been officially dubbed HELL YEAH. The group has been writing and recording material in Dallas, Texas for what will eventually become its debut album, tentatively due in March 2007.

HELL YEAH lineup is as follows:

Chad Gray (MUDVAYNE) - Vocals
Greg Tribbett (MUDVAYNE) - Guitar
Tom Maxwell (NOTHINGFACE) - Guitar
Jerry Montano (DANZIG, NOTHINGFACE) - Bass
Vinnie Paul Abbott (PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN) - Drums

A headlining tour is tentatively expected to take place beginning in March, although this has yet to be officially confirmed.

In a June 2006 interview with the Fort Worth Weekly, Vinnie Paul spoke briefly about the new group, stating, "I have been working with different people, and I really can't tell you who they are right now because we're in the middle of everything. . . The more and more I go along, the more I miss playing, but it's all been part of the healing process, and time is truth. And if [the playing] I am [doing] right now becomes the real deal, then I will get back to it very soon."

It should be noted that the new project's existence will not affect the status of MUDVAYNE, who have spent the past few weeks writing material for their fourth album

Here's what I'm thinkin.  TJ isn't a small guy (I'm not saying "fat" but just a big guy).  If someone that size is practicing pedal hang 5's, pedal steams, or anything gliding on the pedal you're going to put all the leverage on the head tube area.  Now, if your frame doesnt have any kind of gusset support such as this one, and you're not a little guy, then eventually it will finally weaken.  For example, get a clotheshanger, bent it once, then a couple of days later bend it a couple of more times..  Eventually it will have no choice but snap.  It's the same thing but at a little bit larger scale.

Re: for you older folks: WTF IS THIS??? posted on 2006-10-08 15:18:28

Yea, it's a "Rotor" knock off.  The Rotor was by ACS.  they came out with one later with bearings and you would have to set your stem soo high they designed the 45 stem.  It angled down 45 degrees since you had to set your stem soo high due to the sleave of the Rotor.

A guy nobody has ever heard of, Dale Cooper, invents a little machined aluminum thing that attaches to your stem and allows for tangle free rearbrakes.
ACS markets this as THE ROTOR.
