Tough call. I dont know about age of consent stuff in canada, But I'd probably make sure it was way cool with her parents. When I was 21 i went out w/ a 17 year old. Daughter of a family freind. It was cool I guess. Im willing to bet the older you get the more "free" your gonna feel about things you do, while she'll probably have curfews, etc. If it floats your boat, and all parties are cool with it.......go for it.

^^^ yeah I believe that. I work with some part time 17 year old chicks at my shop. They are always talking about sex stuff. They flirt pretty hard, but im 37, and I dont DARE get mixed up with some Jail Bait. When they turn 18 next spring and are headed off for college next summer, might be a diffrent story.......lol

My best buddy I grew up with still lives in indy. I know hes still got a bike, and is kinda in the same boat as you. Not sure if hes riding alot, but I bet riding with somebody might make him more into it.
Ill email him and see if i can pass his email along back to you. Im pretty sure hes lives on the Greenwood side of town. I will let ya know.

Tonight, hit my first "real" hydrant to steam turbine, cuz I didnt touch and rode out, tho I only steamed it a few feet and had to drop the back down. Its feelin smoother and smoother, and im actually getting in the correct position turbining forward.
Did some regular lash to steams, pumped a few circles, grabbed the bars and exited with a firehydrant. This is my new favorite ride out. hydrants seem smoother this way, than standalone style. Im pretty confident I can link it to a bw hang 5 style sqeaker soon with more practice.
I seem to be piecing it together alot better lately, Seems all my input is payin off .
Re: Todays Riding posted on 2006-08-27 19:24:08
went riding a little tonight, maybe 45 min. I cant wait until It cools off so I dont get drenched in like 15 mins. Anyway, getting more and more distance on side sqeaks. Think i got the up and down balance, Its the side to side that needs tightening. After I loose balance kicking these, bike goes around to bkwd fork glide/steam then fire hydrant out. (seems a bit tougher to get the back around without the wind up of a hydrant) Its kinda fun just to work on ride outs sometimes.
Re: Todays Riding posted on 2006-08-26 18:42:23
went riding today for about 20 min. Found this small spot in a bumpy parking garage. Its about 2 cars long and 2 cars wide. Not too big, but flat as hell and a surface to die for.
worked on some small stuff like side sqeaks, I got like 5 sqeaks to backwards steam!! I tried holding the nose of the seat after watching dokin' vids today, It seemed to help me a bunch.
Stepped into crosshanded steams and rolled for about a full circle, normally i just tap tap tap, and never get a roll. This trick looks like a reglar steam, but thats about where the similarities end, as far as the balance point. Its alot more leaning to the side and back, I found out. NO wonder they werent working trying to lean way forward like a regular steam.
Stepped into mccircles with some sucess. I got 2 GOOD controlled kicks and didnt feel like I was gonna fall off. I found you only need to kick when the back end starts slowin up.
Anyway, It was fun. Its funny how taking a day off from riding can bring you new suprises.
Re: Todays Riding posted on 2006-08-23 21:30:09
Didn't do alot of riding today, mostly searchin out new spots. I always keep finding these places with great surfaces, but slopey or cracky. This might sound weird, but I always like spots with trees around. Not necessarily for shade, but I dunno, I seem to ride better in "natural" environments.
So I found this spot, smooth but slopey I really dug the feel of it tho. Hydrants felt so crisp and controlled. Trying to learn double hydrants, but ended up catching some side squeaks/rolls from it. Like 3 kicks then falling to backward steam.
2nd part of the night:
Finally got my un bike built/dialed. Went down the street to my regular shitty lot and broke the ice with it. Started out squeakin backwards, but ended up getting in the groove of coasting backwards.
After that started the forward stuff. Slow at first, trying to roll with the tire straight up and down.
Figured out It handles better with the wheel/bars cocked to the side a bit. After realizing that I got some good begginer distance in. Not much, but a start. The balance point seems real unforgiving, as I saved it from throwing me forwards with a vengeance a couple of times. Seems like it will be good times on this thing tho. I really had alot of fun on that thing tonight.

Re: Todays Riding posted on 2006-08-20 21:39:56
Today worked on Hydrants to steams. I was hitting them a lil. I either dead stop, teetering between muscling it forward or scuffin it backwards to cyclone out. Couple of times hit it rolling forward, a bit out of controll but riding the steam none the less.
Im doing these "regular handed" which my buddy says is the hard road to learning these. I can't for the life of me maintain the balance in cross/switch handed steams, even walking into them. You'd think since its just diffrent hand positions, it would feel kinda like the same trick. Im in no shape to whip around to a steam crosshanded, tho Its supposed to be the "EASY" way to turbine these. Is it just me or are switchhanded steams harder than normal handed?
Re: Todays Riding posted on 2006-08-20 00:25:18
Not the usual session today, much more relaxed. Rode some new spots, had a super fun session. the normal tone of riding took back seat to fun antics. Today was all about doing stuff opposite.
Opposite peg flails.....riding goofy (for me). This turned into opposite tail whips, and at one point, opposite boomerangs with the back wheel off the ground...........serious fun. I love how the "opposite fork glide" motion became so easy while trying build into those harder opposite tricks. Its like I ignored a whole other dimention of my bike.

I just get pissed when they do stupid shit. for instance, the st. patrick's day paraide in nyc caused a ruckis because the gays wanted their own section in the paraide. this doesnt make sense. a) if gays want equal rights why are they separating themselves in a parade, b) it's a paraide for irish people not gays.
[/quote]
I dont get this either. I dont get why gays have to put their sexual orientation first and foremost before any other aspect of their lives, or interjecting homosexuality into things that have no foundation in any kind of sexuality to begin with. Of course maybe someone would say most any event is a heterosexaul event, because its comprised mainly of Straight people. This really makes no sense to me. Of course there is like gay pride marches and stuff, I just dont understand why they cant go in their own direction, why graft themselves onto a pre existing events like ST. Patrick's. Its almost as if they REALLY care to be acknowledged and included by the "straight" people , I think the gay lifestyle is just that......its a sexual orientation, and they seem to only be serving their own agenda.

All this week, really just been stepping into mccircle type stuff. Getting adjusted to how the bike acts while in this position. Mosty I roll and kick once, try to maintain the circle, lots of times it loops forward. Fewer and fewer foot taps on the ground.
These are kinda helping me to do more controlled hydrants turbined to steams. still tapping once, but I feel more controlled now. I feel something is gonna click soon.
Out of habit, I usually do most tricks with 1 finger perched on the front lever. Although I dont need to do this, I decided to not use the "security blanket" for most of my session. It felt fun and bit more controllable until I hit this sandy/mud patch in the lot and probably did my first forward slider in the steam position. Hehe, Its always dumb stuff like that makes you crash and burn.
On a fun note, I always try to dork home starting at the top of my street. I rolled a pretty long one past about 3 or 4 houses.
Some people were hanging out on their porches cheering as I went by. Hehe, they got no Idea what I do on that "kids bike" i ride, so I guess they know now.
Re: School Dresscode posted on 2006-08-16 20:02:51
I dont think school dress codes are even necessary. When I went to highschool, sure there were fights and everything, but a dress code, c'mon.......
People are gonna be who they are no matter what you make them wear. Simple solution......Expell the fuck ups. Make them sit out a whole year and come back and complete the year again with the under class. Its too bad they took Ass Whoopins out of schools. Heck, If you mouthed off to a teacher or got in trouble when I was in school, your parents would hear about it by the time you got home. You would get your ass whooped at school and at home. Sheesh.

Re: Todays Riding posted on 2006-08-12 20:45:56
Got home tonight after working a super long weekend. Like 2 10 hour+ days. I was all kind of dazed, so I figured Id do some messing around. ( I start to feel sluggish if I dont ride for a couple of days)
I start riding, as if in a trance start warming up with a blank mind. Since I put back brakes on, I decided I might as well justify it. So I start working on these swivel to half turnbucket things where I end up in a fork glide. Starting to get it, I start doing these almost rotating 180 on the backwheel to forkglide. Hell Yeah! Next I start working on lashes. Getting some rebates, Kind of rolling on the front while the back of the bike goes like a winshield wiper. Really getting a feeling on the steering. So im kinda getting speed going back and forth on these, reach over grab the seat and go into these crazy fast steams in circles, throw a leg over>bang> funky chicken, take my leg back to steam, hydrant the bike back to a swivel>hit that half peg turnbucket thing to hydrant again,>boomerang back to cyclone out. I pretty much stayed out until I hit that whole link all the way thru.
Its funny, last week I had 2 shit sessions leading up to this, and tonight totally redeemed those.
Im stoked again!!
