Be a lover, not a fighter.
You should have scored with his soccer mom instead.

Yeah, that's the first sentence I ever pronounced in spanish. The Venezuellians were pretty amused, to say the least....

I think the real issue is "Rider Owned Company"
K2 was a ski company, if I remember correctly. Sure it's not that bad compared to a wallmart bike, heck I'll ride anything. But why support a huge eXtreme sports conglomerate when a lot of rider owned companies are putting out budget bikes? Hoffman for one has some for under 200 $. FIT makes a low-budget version of their bike. Even Haro, sure they make MTB's, but it's still Bob Haro.
Come on.

Looks like a lower version of Jesse Puente's frame. Without the gusset where the tubes cross. Or the fat head tube.
New Original Gypsy frame.. posted on 2005-06-29 09:22:49
Actually, the walmart kids bikes and supercycles that has the same geo are copies of MTBs : just cut the seat tube and put a spring between the top and down tube and there you go.
The Dadan is withtout suspention but the seattube is complete so that might not flex as much as it looks like.
And by the way, talent does not mean good frame. Quite the opposite : if a rider really kicks ass, he will kick ass on a piece of shit bike as well as with a perfect one. The changes to the geo might be a plus to these guys but will hinder riders of more modest talent (same thing as with brakeless).

Yeah, they remind me of the oddy fork a lot. Not that gimmicky. An honest attempt. I'm not a weight whore albeit if there's a style of bike riding that doesnt need overbuilt parts, it's flatland. Put some good strong axels and the rest can be lightened without too much fuss.
I know looks dont matter, but for once the graphics are good and not a reminder of communist era east-germany.

The problem with Wiki is that it's free. If I were to ever sit down and write all that stuff out, I would publish a book. Not that I want to make money but I want it to be something better than some website crap.
To each his own. The Wiki is meant as a reference. People from around the world will contribute to it, people who would otherwise would not have collaborated. It doesnt mean you cant have both.
Beside, kids these days dont read. It's a shame. You can blame the TV or the internet or the nintendo.

girls pants posted on 2005-06-22 09:25:08
Because there's a functionnality involved here. I like baggy pants (not too baggy though, just cargos abd fatigues) but it gets in the way sometimes.
I can see why someone would ride with tighter jeans, but too tight impedes your mobility (as well as your nutsack)
I can't believe I have to argue this.
KJ did a rolling boomerang when everyone was locking the brake. Then he wanted to do multiples so he kicked off the back tire to get around again. One was a hang glider and multiples were hang gliders.
We always called a double without touching a double without touching. It never really had a proper name that I know of.
I dont think anyone was arguing the fact that the Hand Glider are rolling boomerangs, wether it's one or multiple. I mean, a whiplash is still called a whiplash if you pull one, two or more. You just put the plural.
My real question would be the difference betweent the Boomerang and the Flail Boomerang. I've always thought that the flail version was using the brake.

Yes, your site is a good reference. I always look it up when I need some BMX date confirmed. Nice work! A very usefull scientific approach to documentation. Right now I'm getting busy at work again, but I'll try to add riders DOB in the people section when I'm done with the templates.

SHould I gather them in one "Templates" section or put one for each categories in that category page?

The wheather in Montreal has been whacky since April :
The two weeks in April when I was away in Cuba were hotter than usual, melted away the snow.
When I got back there was 1 sunny day and then it rained for the last week of april to the entire month of may, crazy!
Then in the beginning of june we got a little rain followed by a week of 30 + degree celsius and very very humid (40 + with the humidex factor). Iit rainned last week, with a cold 15 celsius, now we're entering a sunny but cold week (they're aying down to 9 celsius!!!)

I know there's a forum for this but no one seems to be reading it...
...so here's my little question. I had some time last week since it rained every single day, so I fooled around with the wiki. I noticed people adding once in a while but since the login function does not work I dont know who they are.
Who's working on it?

Each decade has it's "artistic" "sport" that attracts dorks and weirdo that keep uncanny fashion habits. Like in the 70s you had Roller-Disco, in the 80s I guess BMX would fit the bill, as EMO bands in the 90s.

Is there any template for the various article types? Like for the "People" section I feel the bios should all have the same format.
If not, does anyone mind me adding some?

Another error I get when clicking on the number of ffiles in the index page ("We only have 61 article so far!")
A database query syntax error has occurred. This could be because of an illegal search query (see Searching PedalPedalWiki), or it may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:
SELECT COUNT(user_id) AS total FROM user WHERE user_rights LIKE '%sysop%'
from within function "wfSpecialStatistics". MySQL returned error "1054: Unknown column 'user_rights' in 'where clause'".
