Profile/Nankai shell loose/tight! posted on 2006-07-29 03:33:29

Howdie, i got my Profile shell for the nankai f/c yesterday.
Once it was fully built into the wheel and i inserted all the nankai internals into the shell; its not working right...I adjusted everything as usual but i could not seem to get the hub to run as it should. I took it for a session hoping to wear everything in on the first ride.

Seems the dust cover on my 11t driver is rubbing on the outside of the shell where they meet, almost as if the Profile shell is a ballhair wider than the stock Nankai one. I have to run the hub quite loose so the dust cover doesnt rub or if i run it tight the pedals ghost forever (but i can still pedal)

Anyone got advice/fix for this before i crack it open?

Here`s the setup, Profile alu shell, Standard axle, Quamen shield, 11t driver, stock nankai internals.
