Tips for spine transfers? posted on 2005-12-09 09:46:43

I havent done a spine, but i do race MX and i am pretty good and whips. Its some of the same motion except your throughing around a 30 pound bike VS a buck 90. So what you wann do is carve off the lip a little bit. You already wanna be in the leabing postion befor you leave the spine.once you air your front ends gun be a little high, dont panic, lean forward and almost do a table, push your left/right hard out and pull up by your chin with your right/left hand. and that, pinch your bike with your legs and twist your back. Your bottom half will fallow. now once your in the whip position, do the COMPLETE oppisite. and look in the direction/ spot you wanna land, beofre you hit give a good push on the front end nad your rear will fallow. After this is down to a sience, it should help reduce the amoount of air and distance you travle. Just remeber never panic, if you you have to bail, do it. Because this can really get you tangled with the bike. BTW turn your bars and head the way you wnat to travel.

Because thats where i fudged up.

I put the left pedal on the right crank, the right pedal on the left crank. And actually rode like that for 10 minutes before relizing something was Fuhked up. Try and ride that that. Swapped pedals. It feels like it pushed your feet into the sprocket.Weird....
All good now though.

Dans has excellent service and shipping under 3 days. If there is any confusion you send the parts back and get your check or trade for other parts and get those in 3 or less days. They parts come right from factory no dickin around. I'd go with Dans. Best service and a handdull of stickers in every box!

They wrap and give you paper work on all your purchases.
Go with Dans. The only reason people think its for noobs is because it's a huge organization/company thats been around for a while and used alot, so know its "so 5 minutes ago".Just like a song, if its over played, no one likes it. And they say it sucks.

Hmm.I always thought chicago bars ment pulled backwards AKA in the direction of the seat. Those bars are actually almost vertical. But because of the head set pointing up, they look they they were pushed forward. Which there not.

mmmm'ok any more comments?

Its not a waste of money. I can grind and do grind. I just took the pegs off for the less weight. Sense it wont see a rail around here. Ill put them on when i go to rye at the end of the seaon. Till then, all it see's is dirt. Plus it reduces pant rips

Since the brakes are on the bottom bracket, and thats a 30T sprocket, theres not enough clearence bewtween thetop of the brake and chain. The chain will rub on it. Its almost touching the threads for the brakes. If i had run the chain a little looser, i would have needed to grind that down.

any's, thats hte story. Maybe i can rig somethin up later. But for now , she stays brakeless.

Im 5'6. I like my bike set up like that. It's just a thin frame. 20'inch though. Very flickable.

I ghetto'ed my reflecters earlier. Sharpie goes a long way.

Any more comments?
