its pretty pitiful when u have to take something someone said and turn it into an arrogant stereotypical

"OMG BLACK PEEPS RIDRING IS SO KEWL OMG!!!!"

pretty idiotic if u ask me, and texas walker ranger is a shitty show that became popular to the pc gaming nerds, ( i guess ur one of them). And if u hadnt said anything about my hair, i doubt anyone would have said anything. And u see how it feels to go to a store and have ppl watch u, or not pay attention to you, or show u cheap things because they think you have no money, or think that you are dumb because the color of your skin, or base what you are about on stereotypes. Just stfu, stop riding ppls forum dicks, keep dumb comments to yourself, and ride a bit more. Maybe u can see a brighter side of life, and stop trying to make yourself seem cool on a forum, because i doubt anyone cares to meet you in real or me for that matter so why try to impress
[/quote]

So i guess this point in the thread is said and over with but i want to point something out with this post....

Yes, I am a white kid, but i do know how it feels to be like that... Its not always the color of your skin, its the way you carry yourself.

My step dad is a big black guy... I am 100 percent serious, he is about 300 pounds, 6 foot 3, and used to play semi-pro football. Had full rides on football scholarships to colorado and michigan. Well, when he goes to a place, the way he dresses, and the way he acts, he doesnt recieve that reaction that you talk of. My cousins are all the same way. They do not wear pants around their ass, they dont wear wifebeaters as a normal shirt, they dont have airforce ones, they dont fill the sterotype.

When they enter a place, a person sees another person, not a potential theif, or a cheap-ass.

I am not saying this will end if the way people carry themselves changes, i am sure there still going to be sterotypes, but dont say that other people dont feel your opression.

I have been though 2 years of college so far and am so far into the schooling i should be able to graduate a semester eairly. I have gotten great grades my entire life, teachers, parents, and friends love me... But the day i got a mohawk, really opened my eyes to things. You are treated a lot different by the way that you look, dress, and carry yourself. Service at restrants is slower because they think you are some punk reject kid, people just think different of you because of the way that you appear.

The only reason why i cut my mohawk, was because it was going as far as making my own parents look bad, and i didnt want that...

Again, dont say that its because of your skin color that you cannot get something or achieve something. That is such a fall back, I have family members that claim that all the time, and they are going nowhere in life, yet their siblings are all well educated, top of the chain, hard working individuals.

Re: haro parts? posted on 2006-07-31 11:31:24

Ohh and in addition to this post, the kid who is asking this question is selling profiles on ebay...

I found a pair of profiles, ti spindle, 175 arms, euro with flush bolts for his asking price for the american profiles... SO yeah thanks for offering but i dont need them anymore man

Re: haro parts? posted on 2006-07-31 11:29:44

Where am i, am i lost?!

Haha usually i post in the classifieds, general, and pictures

I find the other ones boring unless i hear of a good fight in the flatland forum

Re: haro parts? posted on 2006-07-31 08:08:07

funny thing is, when mirra was sponsored by haro, towards the beginning of his carrer, he had a condor frame with haro stickers on it

Before he was sponsored by snafu, he used to ride S&M berringer bars... WHen he was going from haro to his mirraco bikes... he was riding an FBM frame

You know its bad when your own riders, ride other parts

Re: Question about codecs posted on 2006-07-29 22:32:11

if you right click on the error, it says web help

Once that pops up, it will show you your missing codec and you can click on a link they provide and you can download usually a trial version (its not like a limited time one, but more of a less features i guess) but yeah do that and it should work

Re: Post a picture of yourself posted on 2006-07-29 22:28:44

I must have a familar face because everyone someone sees a picture of me, it reminds them of someone... its actually creepy

A kid at the skatepark asked me if i was aaron ross....

In my wet dream (it really happened but i wish i was as good as him)

Ohh and by the way, i took my friends bike who is going to be outta town for 2 weeks and put my new back wheel on it and have been doing fakies down my block

The looks you get when you ride backwards down an entire street is actually comical

(first experience with a freecoaster, and its a whole new world)

Re: Custom Redline posted on 2006-07-29 22:23:05

Primo gorilla cup but an internal headset?

And no way in hell are you going to get that much... Unless your prices are canadan, i doubt your going to get anywhere near that man.

Re: The Animal team posted on 2006-07-25 13:02:24

I am not here to bash or do anything or even argue about this

But really in the sport of bmx'ing... gender is more of an issue than race and color

Pretty much any team that you name, from parts to frames to clothing, has either a mexican person, a black person, who whoever else on it. Go through them all and do a little research. There are extremely well rounded black bmx'ers that are sponsored

IE:
day smith
shaun butler
edwin
wormz
andre ellison (he was 14 and doing backflips over dirt jumps at espn contests)

there are tons

Don't even get me started with the gender thing... Girls do a fucking double peg stall and win a shadow contract, and 12 year olds do 540's and laughed at because they arent as good as the 14 year olds doing flip 360's

Dont get me wrong, nothing is hotter than a woman riding a bmx bike but who cares about equal rights?

And that entire voices video left me speechless
