It's funny
sometimes watching vids will motivate me.
But other times after I finish watch a video I wonder why I even try, because I know I'll probably never be able to do 1/2 the things these people are doing.
Luckily, I have fun.
It's fun dude.
My motivation is excitement.
Instead of sitting on my ass eating lunch. I eat lunch on the way to my spot, and in the lot.
And then I go HAVE FUN!

cool concept.. looks pretty neat
definately would catch my eye if i was just walking by.
I think that's what it's all about in a shirt anyways. :P
But I don't know why it was so absolutely necessary for them to go with something so simple though.
Detailed shirts can be made, just for a little bit more $.
And I guess I'm not able to make prints of the one i submitted???
I can understand not getting approval to do so, but would appreciate some sort of reply.

Yo man, im not to sure about using the sickchild logo in the shirt, but if you wanna print it up without that, youve got the go ahead to use the picture of me. Everything else is your own i believe. Nice design by the way, one of the best.
[/quote]
cool dude, I'll just replace the sick child logo part with something else I guess, or something. I don't know. But that's really cool of you. And thanks for the compliment :)
ps, thanks to you and ed again for at least presenting the opportunity.
No matter who won, it was still a fun, exciting experience

Re: McCircle trouble posted on 2006-10-05 14:19:43
the frame is coming around probably bc you don't have the front wheel/bars tilted enough
notice that if you keep the whole front end straight up and down, the frame will want to whip around fast. But by tilting the front end to one side, this starts your spin and keeps the frame from coming around
it takes a while to learn how to keep the tilt right but still trying to keep your body straight.
baahhh, i'm still trying to ride out of these... :P but i can spin them like a crazy dork

so, ummmm..
Yo Ed, just have Pete turn this thread into a Poll.
Or maybe create a new thread with just a handful of your favorites that your having trouble choosing from, and then just have all the members vote on which one they like best.
PS, I'm still waiting to hear if i could at least sell prints?
Re: Perfect riding spot...WOW... posted on 2006-10-04 09:28:16
yo andre is it dusty?
I would like to catch you or anyone up there.. or anywhere this sunday as I'm dying for a good lengthy session!
PS, a couple weekends ago, I got kicked off that 8 court spot i was telling you about. :( Now I'm not sure about going there anymore....
Re: Seat Height posted on 2006-10-04 07:46:20
start with it to where the nose lines up with the handlebars when the bars are turned sideways. See how that feels. From there you may want to lower or raise it according to feel.
I use to run mine quite a bit lower than the bars as I liked all the legroom on the back wheel.
Lately I've raised it some, to where it's just below the handlebars. I've managed to learn how to somehow avoid it on the back wheel now, and steam rollers are much more comfy.
I'm thinking about raising it even more though, bc i still can't ever catch it with my ass when trying hang 5's
errr so yeah.. start even with bar ends, and play with it from there.
Low Seat : Less shin bruises on back wheel, yet bending over more on front wheel.
High seat : Less back pain from leaning way over, much more comfy when just pedaling around, yet tends to get in the way easier when kicking back tire.
Hope that helps
Re: poster posted on 2006-09-30 09:12:15
that's really sweet man.
you should consider making one, using all different images of people riding too. It should be pretty easy to do considering all the vids bikeflat has, you could just use a bunch of different small stillframes.
very cool though dude! :P

just keep practicing them
I've been @ these for years now and there will be days I think i finally have them dialed in, but then the next day I go @ them and I get stuck.
There are a lot of different components that seem to go into keeping the spin going.. even if explained perfectly, this trick like all others can only be mastered by massive ammounts of repetition. :o
All I can really do Is hope i'll do good on these today and improve.
bmxtriix howto explains it pretty well
Re: Win A New SickChild Frame Here! posted on 2006-09-26 13:21:34
yeah good luck to everyone :D I'm excited
I'm also still wanting to make 2 more very simple designs. 1 I know I can quickly do before the end of the week. i just still need to find a pic of a blank white t-shirt that I can use to put the simple idea on.
And the other one that I'd like to do was actually my wifes idea, but I'm having a lot of trouble as I suck @ drawing actual objects from my mind.. usually takes me 1000 times to get a simple drawing right :( But im still gonna try and have her idea done before the end of the week too.
Good luck again to everyone, and thanks to Ed and Pete for giving us @ least the opportunity. :)
edit: 08/30
Yeam umm. I easily made the simple small concept i was thinking of.. and lets just say it wasn't as good idea as I had imagined. Meh.
And I tried a few times to come up with my wife's idea (which i will explain later), but I could never get it exactly right and didn't really want to spend hours trying to perfect all the perportions.. maybe some day. So I guess that's it for me.

cool shots
lately, the past couple of weeks of my riding has been mundane. Very repetitve.. seemingly no progression.
Today though was different. I enjoyed the session greatly, and again, didn't want to return to work.
Sat, after work I drove around taking a bunch of pics of diff spots. I'll post em later when I'm not lazy.
Sunday, some guy said he was a representative of the richardson independant school district and that i had to remove my bike from the courts I was on. (The freakin HUGE spot I just found :( )
It took me about 5 times of asking why for him to finally tell me that if i dropped the bike it would cause damage. Even though i mentioned i would gladly pay for any damage done he said that didn't matter blah. Pissed me off, so since I had my camera with me, I asked em if i could take his photograph.
He just grinned started to walk off.
He wouldn't give me his name or his superiors # either. Sooo im just gonna contact the risd and see if there is any type of permit or anything i could get, although I know all their going to tell me is to piss off. :(
Sucks I just found that spot, right by my home.. even within riding distance. and now I gotta worry about little dorky men telling me to get lost. i wonder what would of happend if I just said. "no"
yeah so long storry short sundays session was a bust
