Re: what happened to american bb? posted on 2006-07-14 07:02:56

were there ever any benefits to american bb?
sure one could say that it was "stronger," but so are heavier frames stronger than light ones.
im guessing the cost is about the same , since my brother bought a folding bike that had euro bb.
plus all euro bb bearings are sealed.

were there ever any disadvantages to american bb?
yes, its heavy, and its brutal to install and remove. Not to mention it looks like a big coffee mug on your frame.
notice how the only frames that still use american bb are on little kids bikes and cheap cruisers.
and those bikes use unsealed 1 peice cranks.

Two Ladies working for Red Bull were handing out free Red Bulls, and they gave away about 25 cases
At 2 bucks per can thats a lot of money.
Pretty cool because it was on a US military base all the way in South Korea

And that announcer for the video definitely drank too much Red Bull

Re: Need Ody 13t freewheel & 30-36t sprocket posted on 2006-07-04 06:50:36

I have a flipflop hub and I currently have a ACS 15tooth freewheel on it, which means i should run a 39tooth, but that wont fit on the frame. So im running 36-15 and it isnt as practial as it can be.

And if I buy from albes thats $20 freewheel + $20-30 sprocket + shipping = around 50 bucks, which is grossly overpriced.

So im still open to offers

Re: Need Ody 13t freewheel & 30-36t sprocket posted on 2006-07-04 00:29:52

Looking for both the freewheel and sprocket or just the freewheel. Thanks for the offer, any more?

Haha, yes I agree pedal is decaying.
It looks so ugly, its hella ghetto on my computer and theres plenty of stupid topics.
But theres a few good threads I still come to look at, like the pictures and new sttuff from quamen. Nothing else besides that.

Re: other then bmx bikes posted on 2006-07-03 10:20:41

Sweet. I was looking to get one of those hardtails but I realized theyre way too expensive and not my style. My brothers still looking for one though.

Re: post pics of your bikes here (FLATLAND) posted on 2006-07-03 06:14:14

Holy Shizzit, thats better looking than i expected. A gold chain could be easily put on. Imagine riding that at some well-lit place like the Braun Flatground finals.

Whats up with 2 pegs in the front and none in the back?
