Download the 1987 Team Haro full-length video! posted on 2005-03-04 14:36:46
Any tips on how you capture the video to computer?
I would be interested in this as well. I have a couple of old vids I would like to transfer to digital. It would be cool to share them as well.

Let him know I ride most weekends if the weather is OK. So if he doesn't mind riding with a crappy old rider like me tell him to get in touch

I was watching it again last night and the riding still blows me away. Best $70 I have spent in a while.

The weather is so good right now. I took Friday thru Monday off and was able to ride every day. It was beautiful.

pnj - I don't have a car either so I usually ride locally. But we should definitely get together and ride some time. I am over in Fremont.

Hopefully I will get down there soon.

Dodgy old men riding kids bikes, hookers, beat downs, Star Wars, penis replacement and inspiring stories. This is my kind of thread. Who said getting old isn't fun?

I am hoping to be in Portland on Sunday/Monday. Anyone riding those days?

Cheers.

...but how do you strengthen a hip without a girlfriend?...
Hookers come to mind but I can see that getting a bit expensive. :P
Sounds like a lot more fun than stretching everyday. Not sure if my wife would approve though.

the flattening of my flatness posted on 2005-02-15 12:33:49

Sorry to hear that you are having problems. I am 34 and when I started riding again I experienced some pretty bad physical side effects. I have also had problems with my hips for a couple of years due bad posture and being seated most of the day for my job.

What I found has really helped me is stretching every morning for about 20 minutes. My wife got these stretches from a chiropractor and I went over with them with a physical thearapist who had me alter some and stop doing others. If I do these regularly I get very little lower back pain and no hip problems. If I stop doing them the aches and pains start to return. If you have a job where you are sitting all day try to get up every 15 to 30 minutes and move around. It really helps. Also, switching to taller bars (Ronin Big E's) seemed to help.

You probaby ride a lot more than me and I am sure you are pushing your body harder so I am not sure how much this would help you but it certainly would not do any harm.

Good luck. I hope you find something that helps you with your problems.

The weather has actually been nice here for this time of year but I am at work all day :( It is dark by the time I get home so I only get out at the weekend. Then it usually rains.

I will live my riding life through you. I am going to have to get down there one of these days and enjoy some of that Cali sun.

Now go and ride for all us people in colder, wetter places.

whens the best (nicest) month to go to london? posted on 2005-02-01 18:51:52

June through August can be nice but expensive. September can be a good month and you can get cheaper flights after the first week (once the kids go back to school). August is probably the most expensive month.

Any other time there is a good chance of rain. Although it can piss down in August so take your chances.

I love December in London. It is a lot of fun. Lots of parties but the weather is crap. So not much good if you have any riding planned.

Whatever time you go it is a fun city. I miss it. Hopefully I am going this Christmas.

Also, if you go try to get out of London for a few days. There is a lot more to England and it is worth the effort.
