pumping

I know this substyle of flatland is becoming pretty popular among the pros, and contest footage I have seen.

I'm a smooth roller but I cannot understand the concept of pumping, what is it exactly that I am supposed to be doin??

It looks like they carve inwards, I try that but my speed doesnt increase, do you need a light bike, mine was about 34 pounds so I think that might be a factor, and I was running 2.1 width tires. I might sound superficial but it seems skinny tires would be better for this.

I got lots of new parts this past week, when it dries up I'll go work on some pumpin.
Yeah it is in a sense just carving....well yeah thats the whole thing really. Weight will affect it, but it is still possible to pump with a heavy bike, just more difficult.
what about when your 2 miles away from your house at the spot and you shit just breaks or dosent work and you have to walk home :x
Umm actually dan your house is about a half mile away from our riding spot, and the only reason your bike breaks is because you throw it non-stop 24/7 as hard as you can. Its almost like you bought the bike just to throw it.

That was kinda funny, but whats even more funny is that people have a need to feel like tough mother fuckers on a forum by bashing a kid who posting something he thought was funny. Get your head out of your asses and lighten up you dumb shits.

uh, tricks? posted on 2005-10-11 15:25:11

I basically learned elephant glides and halfpackers and after I got those down, every other double footed rolling trick was not difficult to learn at all.

Feel like throwin in the towel posted on 2005-10-05 18:22:53

as long as you have tricks to practice, you have no problem. Just practice! you have so much more to learn! It's when you start running out of ideas of new tricks to learn when it begins to become boring.

Headtube angle question posted on 2005-09-19 18:49:25

Basically when you do tricks with the 73.5, you feel like you are kicking the frame a little higher and just a tiny bit harder when you get into tricks, however balancing them feels alot easier. At least that has been my experience with it.

backround (pics inside) posted on 2005-09-18 08:22:30

yeah, its a beautiful spot, about a 5 minute ride from me and flatrider4's house. It's really great and the best part is that we know the pastor of the church there (its a church parking lot) and he supports our riding. It's really a nice change from when we were being booted from every other place in the world haha.
