It is certainly not the end of the PedalExchange! In fact, now that it is tied into 'the system' it will actually be better by allowing for interaction with the rest of the site. It's 5:1 now to adjust for traffic, but you're lucky to even get 1:1 at most places, let alone 1:0.5 or so.
Anyways, I apologize for it's downtime and I will work on it today, you should hopefully receive new banner code in an e-mail.

Cory Dee: Thanks! This is exactly the kind of help I need. I am testing with this post that users should now be redirected to their post after replies. The 'Quick Jump' feature is the drop-down menu under the Forums link. It should work as long as you have JavaScript. I have added Reply buttons to the top of Thread views, and have scrapped the "Logged in!" message.
Not sure why Ctrl+V doesn't work, what browser/platform are you on? The edit button should work, I'll look into that. And yes, I know I need to optimize the SQL. Again thanks for the help, and I'll keep working on these issues.
I just edited this post by the way, to add this line. Does it just not load, or what?

Fear not! I was on vacation at home for a few weeks, and didn't do anything at all. Now it seems I've lost my job, so I'm home with nothing else to do. I will be constantly improving Pedal even more over the coming days and weeks, and I have some great ideas to bring back some of the traffic.
Plus, there will be a little present coming soon for all of the Pedal members who were with us before the switch, and who choose to stay with us during and after. To show thanks for all of your patience, I promise you won't be disappointed.

I would say build the ramp as big as you can afford to, but be careful building ramps in general. It can seem simple, but there are a lot of things that are learned only through experience. Try and get someone who has built a ramp before to help you for your first one.
As far as specific size, again, I prefer bigger ramps. A well built six foot ramp is generally much more condusive to airs than a comparable four foot ramp would be. Bigger ramps give you more room for error when landing, and usually give a much better transition to air out of.

No, the code is not right for many browsers. I'm working on it, it should work soon. Sorry for the troubles!

The sit e has been killed every time I change the font color, lol. It's coming back, Tuesday was the highest traffic day yet since the 'depression' so it's hopefully all up-hill from here. Seems to be fairly active again already, so we'll see what happens, eh?

Didn't G-Money or whoever try this a while back for BMX? I remember seeing a shot of a prototype a few years ago.
Much more fitting on a road bike, looks pretty sweet!

Fret not! A new layout is in the works (layouts are super-duper easy to switch out in this system).
Thanks, hope it keeps getting better :)
Early Morning Park Sesh's posted on 2006-12-12 10:15:36
Today I had to use the only decent air pump in town, which just so happens to be right next to a bike path that goes straight to work basically. The skatepark happens to fall exactly between the path and the pump. So, I had to drop in for just a few runs. I don't usually think I like riding that early, but since it's dark when I get off now, and I'm hourly so I don't like taking long lunch breaks. I think I'm going to start going to be much earlier and getting up much earlier, and trying to hit the skatepark around 6-7 AM.
Does anyone else ride before or during work?

Click the image button in the editor window, or use HTML.

It should be working fine now. Can you use it?

Sure it was tragic, and my heart goes out to the family. None the less, I have yet to find ANYTHING that a joke can't or shouldn't be made of. NOTHING in life is too serious to laugh about.

Re: pasting links posted on 2006-12-07 14:32:57
It looks to be a browser security setting that isn't letting the FCK editor (the WYSIWYG editor used on this site) work. I'm sorry, but it looks like ctrl+v is the ticket currently until I can find a workaround.
Re: avatar test posted on 2006-12-07 13:13:40
Avatars work. You need to paste a URL into your Profile Avatar field. Currently, we only support off-site avatars, I apologize. I will enable uploading very soon.
Also BBCode is no longer supported, so use the new Editor in your Profile to update your signature, or use HTML instead.

Thanks everyone who actually gave useful feedback.
cozmo: The color changer is the same code from the old site, and should set a cookie on your machine. It should carry it from page to page, but it may not take effect until the entire page has loaded, because of the javascript it uses. You should be able to just type a message into the shoutbox and hit submit. Does that not work?
myke: Gee, thanks for that insight.

New server will be up tomorrow according to my host, and that should take care of the entire speed issue.
cna: Most bugs have been squashed already, if you're aware of some more specific ones, PLEASE submit a bug-report! Otherwise, you're right. The site just got a make-over, and now it's going no where but up. The community has already begun filing back in, and traffic to the site has picked back upwards instead of down.
Re: threads per page posted on 2006-12-03 17:07:22
This is already a planned PedalPlus feature.
