Auto-refresh is no good, but thanks anyways. What will work is just clicking one of the text links every day or so if you can, and stopping by the banner sponsor's sites often too. They normally all update often, so just keep checking 'em out! :)

First off about the oil thing, no that's incorrect. Dreadlocks are knots of hair, for hair to be able to knot up, it has to have friction, oil removes friction. If your hair was oily, it wouldn't knot up properly, the hair would just slide around instead. So the best thing to do, is follow the directions on dreadheadhq.com. Their products are great, and I used them to start my dreads. Note that I say start, because there's no need to use their shampoo, as Dawn Liquid Dishsoap works just as well, and is much cheaper. Yes, Dawn.

As far as what kinda shit, what you'd expect from long hair, multiplied by 10. People know who you are wherever you go. You get dumb questions wherever you go. You get people staring at you wherever you go. I used to get a lot more shit when I was in school, but not so much anymore. Still, they're not an easy thing to keep for a long time. Get them yourself, and you'll see what I mean.

I've had dreads now for over 4 years. I'm white. No problems.

Your biggest problem to overcome will be other people. You WILL get a whole lot of shit for having them. If you can take it, you're one of the few. If not, you'll get rid of your dreads, like most people do.
