So, you can't post here, but you posted to tell me that? :-D I know about the session errors, be calm and read the featured Pedal blogs. Old PM's have not yet been migrated. That will come this weekend likely.

Not in the least, when did I say that? The site will change a lot, the new configuration allows me to easily change just about everything.
The site will stay the same as far as it will not go back to a prepackaged solution, it will continue to grow and be developed as my custom CMS.
Just wait, I have some gnarly features planned once I can get everything that is existing working smoothly.

At this point, there's no looking back. There were several reasons the site was released earlier than it should have been, and I apologize again for the inconvenience. However, this is it now. So the best thing that you guys can do right now is to help me out! Send me screenshots of things that aren't displaying properly. Send me videos of things that don't work properly. Send me detailed e-mails of anything that's wrong. I think you'll be surprised how quickly I can fix things, once I am made aware of them. The old threads are all here. Almost everyone can login and post now. You can edit and delete posts. You now have your very own blog. You have a profile with comments. You have private messages (I'll be importing the old messages soon). I think things are pretty good if I do say so myself. Is there anything specifically that's missing or broken that is bothering you (other than the sessions issue, which I'm fixing after I finish typing this)?
well i have my old name!! haha =] but uh,any idea how long it'll be,just curious
Umm, it's already here. This is it! The site will evolve and change A LOT in the coming weeks and months, but this is pretty much what it'll be. I'm slowly adding back in features of the forums, and hopefully everything will work before too long. I think most things work already, if you notice anything missing you really liked, please let me know and I'll try and get it back.

I know lots of things don't work yet, and I know the site is a bit slow. These issues will all be resolved, and in the end, this site will be 10x better than any previous versions of Pedal.

I have a ramp at the Woodward park around an hour from me, but until my job starts, it's an expensive trip. I rode it once a few weeks ago, and that was my first time riding a real vert ramp in like three years. I'm definitely pumped to go some more though, I start my new job on Monday so I should have the cash. I'll get some pictures next time I go, I'm not sure how high I'm going, but it's a few feet. I love vert! :)

I'm a full blown, 100% Libertarian. Where do you guys fall on this quiz?

Hahaha, I take that as a yes. Cool! Well don't expect them in the immediate future, but soon. Also, they won't be PPV, but they will have very short ads first to pay for the bandwidth. Perhaps we could look into some PPV ad-free options for regular users/longer videos...

Hmm. This page loaded in .1 seconds, seems pretty quick to me. Oh well, it doesn't matter, the new site will be up soon, and then it will be a whole different set of problems.

So if Pedal offered a free video hosting and playing service, and we populated it with all sorts of good BMX content, you guys would watch it?

LOL, General good practice is to post a link as well.

Haha yup, that's clearly what I'm doing. Don't like it? Ban me. Oh wait...
Re: YSF2 posted on 2006-10-27 15:39:55
Umm, I'm going to say no right now, only because the new site style will effectively make everyone a mod. I'm in the process of building it now. Our first fully custom system, which will allow for some really awesomely cool features, but it will also probably come with some bugs and stuff. But, anyways, every post will have + / - buttons next to it, and members will be able to simply click + or - as they read a thread. The rating will be done with AJAX calls, so it will not reload the page or anything, it will update the page dynamically. Posts will then be sized and colored based on their 'quality' and members can set their threshold so they don't see -1 posts. This way, spam, advertisements, rule breaking, and stupidity are sent straight to the bottom, while quality, insightful, useful posts stay at the top. What do you think?

Hey everybody, some of you may have already seen this, some not, so here goes. My friend Al came up with an idea for a website, and we've been working on it ever since. It's coming along nicely, try it out, and let me know what you think.

*Cough*
Umm, maybe try the navigation bar to the left? Particularly the link "Free BMX Web Host".
Just a thought ;)

Hey guys, I've been working on a new site with my friend Al called HottieSpots. It's still in Beta obviously, but things should work well enough for you to try it out and have some fun. Check it out, and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Wow. How did I know this would somehow be used to muddy the argument of 9/11? Call it a hunch I guess.
