have you ever actually read the bible? .. all these church goers you see are just as much reality to religion.. as movies are to real life.

.... its all the same teaching in most any religion you find.

we arent here for any reason , having a reason to be alive would cause you pain , because then you would have to strive for a certain place that you arent already at.. everyone has already fufilled their purpose.

the world works in a way of cause and effect.. does that explain anything for you?

everything has a cause , everything cause effects the way something turns out, and you just need to accept that, there is nothing you can do to stop the flow of life.

Just be happy in your surroundings in whatever momment you are in, I can see that you are dealing with a sort of crisis, I was just like you a couple years ago then I researched about religion and got involved in some different spiritual teachings.

Your life... doesnt have a meaning, or a purpose,,you "are" ... you are existing without an intention to better yourself, then you will be happy, you cant be happy if you are constantly trying to change your current life to make yourself better. that "better" doesnt have to exist in the future it can exist right now if you stop and accept your surroundings.

I suggest you look into budhism, tao, christianity (yes I know even christianity:P)

yeah highschool was fun, drugs were new , parties were fresh, everyone wanted to get laid hook up whatever.

but.. I dont wanna go through all that again.

I am content with my present situation and its not even a good situation.. but I never want to relive any momment. I guess thats the faith in me talking.. accept the present momment in whatever form it takes.

Highschool was tough . my parents were distant, I was distant being on so much drugs , so was everyone else at my highschool I'm 19 so I guess I'm still a teenager\adult .. who knows.

but I am happy with life now and find no reason to advertise depression as the "in" thing.

no it wouldnt .. you'd be giving your money to charity, not to some kid who is hungry.. you're giving it to some employee who collects it takes about 90 cents of that dollar to pay for company expansion, commercials, advertising, his salary.. and 10 cents to the kid who is dieing of hunger.

Just like disease charities.. you arent giving your money to find a cure.. you are funding universities... basically helping rich fucking universities expand their already nice labs so they can research some more.

In my lifetime I will not see any amazing scientific discoveries to do with curing deadly viruses

Lately I honestly feel there will never be a cure for these so called diseases that affect so many people across the world and this is why.

There is so much money involved in charities and fundraisers and charities dont donate all of their funds to their causes, they only donate a small amout of what they raise to the actual cause. Charities arent as angelic as they appear on tv making you think they save every life if you donate a dollar a day.

And charities get taxed just like any other company would.

Every time I turn on the tv I see a new add for some lottery going towards the heart and stroke foundation, aids research , cancer hospitals, fundraiser walks.

And I think there is too much money involved in charities that the loss of profit would cripple them so the government would never actually allow a cure for any of the top diseases to leak out. Especially since they make billions in taxes off of all these events and charity organizations.

Its like ciggarettes,. yeah you could take them off the market and save alot of lives, but then the government wouldnt be making all that money off of taxs.. so instead.. lets make even more profit.. by getting people hooked on nicotine pills\patchs\gum, to cut down on smoking ciggarettes.

This way the anti tobacco companies can make their money and industry profit and so can the ciggarette companies, and the government can leech off the taxs

THEN , you see commercials for Cancer Foudations telling you to donate your money to help people fiight lung cancer.....And 20 percent of the money raised by the charity gets tax deducted.. and another 30 goes to the employees of the charity and the advertising costs...

doesnt this seem a bit twisted?

You respect your parents because you are attached to what they provide for you. If its a house you live in.. or even the support or authority you couldnt live without

Me and most of the friends I have didnt come from some picture perfect family and the question of respect isnt even an issue, because alot of fucked up things have happened

me., I respect my parents because I dont want to die on the streets. I want a bed. Thats about the only reason respect comes from me. Why else ? I'm 19 and have been kicked out already , .. juggled from my mom to my dad, and back again.

Next year I start college so they will lend their financial support but I will be rid of the ties I have to them along the lines of food and shelter

Parents have a responsibilty, too many parents have kids and fuck their kids up in more ways then one. I am a strong beleiver that the parent should provide for the child that they brought into this world . If they want to have a "family" then they are the ones that should respect the life they created and try until death to support that life.

had .. jewel, sarah mchlachlan, barenaked ladies, nirvana, oasis, I mother earth, our lady peace, bush, the cardigans, the cranberries, natalie imbrulia. the corrs (omg girls who actually play instruments!!)

now I dont listen to any of this stuff, but for mainstream music you could turn on the radio and hear stuff that was good for its genre.

there was a big movement in WOMEN singers... actual women .. these days the girls singing are all around 15 years old

and you cant be a popular female singer, unless you act ,. or have a reality show too.

In this day in age its like .. your so damn cool if you associate yourself with conflict and depression.

The more depressed and sad and angry and rebelious you are , the more "hardcore" you are.

My ex girlfriend constantly advertised her conflicts until the point where I couldnt even stand it any more.

Its like its the "in" thing.. to be a depressed fuck who is down on their otherwise seemingly alright life.

They even have the genre of music called "emo" .. a genre of music performed by 20 somethings .. usually always based on pain, being "hardcore" and helping 14-16 year olds deal with the fact that your gf or bf left you

this music is now pop where I live. I really think as the target audience for mainstream music gets younger the music is more shitty

back in the 90's adults could actually listen to popular music .. these days if you arent 14 and pissed off at the school system , the music on tv wont appeal to you.
