hey post your email if you wanna chat sometime about flatland or whatever else,.
Its winter here in Canada so it would be nice, since I cant ride all the time, to talk to riders,
riders usually happen to be like minded individuals.
can i just say that flatland IS art and excuse any of us that might be trying to express ourselves?
sorry if ive offended anyone. no, im not really.
things in life are different and these differences are what make them dope.
ive heard this too much not to express my opinion.
first chad is one of the best flatland video producers of all time. he is also on top of his game when it comes to his riding. he has also seen(and or done) all of the shit in his vidoes before so he understands it to the fullest and he wants you to see it how he sees it. kinda like a music video not a baseball game. would anyone rather watch a video game? not me
second(and ive totally lost my train of thought) if you use the word "artsy" then you have a lot to learn. go hit a home run and score a point or something. flatland is a visual performance art.
flatland is "artsy" that explains the pink bike huh?
third??? oh yeah, my part in land escape b was dope. thanks to chad that is.
I went to art college, I am an artist, I am a musician, I am in film class.
I think I know enough in mbrief knowledge of art history, composition structure, film and music to understand good and bad editing
fast forward riding for 2 minutes straight, is not good editing.

Any tips on Multiple Whiplashes? posted on 2006-01-10 17:20:52
Since I've gone over the bars about 100000000000000 times in my riding I am not afraid of that anymore. I can usually always bail out of it safely.. okay I will learn all the opposite foot crap when the snow is dried.. thanks and keep the tips comin these are good
Any tips on Multiple Whiplashes? posted on 2006-01-10 09:04:59
It seems to be one of those tricks I can try over and over and over and not progress on. I remember before winter me and a friend just kept trying em for a good half hour non stop and we get nowhere on this trick
Is there any tips ?
to keep the frame going around for the second one, or tips on steppin over the frame? thanks.
How gay are you(quiz) posted on 2006-01-10 02:55:48
American Culture is pathetic,.
it really is,. not just this test but.. if a guy is well groomed he must be gay right?
oh and if he has enough money to buy expensive clothes... well he must be gay..,
if a guy is into body piercing (which so many of them are now) they surely must be homosexual.
... oh and if a guy would rather watch his favourite "footballer" rather than be one.. he must surely suck dick!!!
..................................................
bullshit,. I stopped takin the test when I realized that I didnt have a favourite "footballer" and it was just more americanized CRAP that I see every day, hollywood, media driven brainwashing "think this way or you arent normal!!" bullshit.

Any vid as good as Diversion 5? posted on 2006-01-01 15:49:27
First off, Bobby got skills. The guy knows editing.
Its unlikely that you'll find another vid where the editing and filming is as top notch.
BUT, i also think its unfair to say inTRIKat flicks suck. From my point of view both inTRIKat and Diversion lead the way in the progression of flatland vids.
Both for different reasons. Bobby and Chad are both very talented, its just both have very different styles.
well, then reccomend me a vid that is near bobby's quality.
Any vid as good as Diversion 5? posted on 2006-01-01 09:21:28
Diversion five is an amazing video , it is the best one I have seen.
It mixes professional editing with good riding, (unlike the land escape vids I made a review of, which feature some decent riding with aweful editing)
The riding in Diversion 5 is at a level that I do not think has been documented before, at least not this professionally.
And its a great vid for people to watch who arent in to flatland it is acessable to everyone.
So my question is.
Is there any video that is as good as diversion five? because I would want to buy that.
Land Escape A\B posted on 2005-12-31 09:25:50
I prefer to see the riding, and the fastforward stuff can be annoying because it's more difficult to see what's being done. But the riding in those videos is insane, you have to admit.
Yeah the music isn't anything I would pick but then how can you expand your horizons that way? If you can't appreciate these videos for the incredible riding than I don't know, stick with turning the volume down and put your own stereo on or something. Land Escape A is one of my favorite videos ever even with the horrible Kimo background music. The riding is just incredible.
yeah , the riding is good,..
but the vid seems only watchable if you have the DVD remote in your hand and fast forward through all the boring transitional shit. I know this vid is trying to be artsy,. but I wasnt feeling the style.
but yeah some of the riding is awesome, especially viki gomez before his KGB days.... some sick stuff there.
Land Escape A\B posted on 2005-12-30 22:30:00
... ugh, eww, STOP ALREADY, are some of the things that fly into my head when I watched this video
I could only become more nautious as the hand held camera kept shaking while filming.
The pointless "fast forward" editing for every rider in an attempt to be artistic .. the TERRIBLE lighting filters that were used to completely anhialite any visibility, and the utterly disguting attempt at a soundtrack
I thought I was getting a bargain by getting land escape a and b for 22 dollars.. but now I see why the price is so low.
Diversion 5 was awesome...
Land Escape a\b .... disguting, nausiating shaky visuals, aweful lighting, annoying long transitional scenes of riders simply "riding" back and forth throughout the city, extremely amateur "cityscape" shots that look like a pathetic attempt at being a tourist. Ugh, these vids are crap.
Stephen Royers section is good...
Other than that,.. ugh,. I think I'm done.
brakes vs no brakes posted on 2005-12-29 10:40:20
There isn't a single trick in which a brake will impede you. Plus they're fun. They give you more options.
my knee hits (used to) hit my brake lever, back a few years ago. So yes brakes can limit you , and I put my knees under the handlebars for all my steamroller\half hiker stuff.
and they can get in the way of your hands if you want to hold the bar more closely to the crossbar.
