i thought you guys were gonna fix that speed issue?
nice vid... you should just make one really long video of adam kuhn... i mean everyone in the vid totally rips, but adam's style is so cool and smooth i only want to see his parts... hehe...

i have felt alot of pressure on my hammies before when doing steamrollers... i think the stress happens when you are compensating and you are stretching it to the max... i know what you mean... i'm 37 and you definitely feel these things more as you get older...
i like peoples advice of not selling your bike, because you know that no matter what age you are you are going to want to bust out a g-turn at some point!!

cool thanks man!
Re: installing fork race?? (bottom piece of headset) posted on 2006-05-15 11:53:59
cool, ya i used to have a tool similar to that, but i don't have it anymore... i'll have to dig up another one...
the thing is that piece on the dk mph is super thin aluminum... maybe a bike shop would have a special tool for that?
on a side note, that piece is a total pain to get off of the khe alloy forks because the part of the fork that that rests on is way wider than the part, so you can't just bang it off, you have to get under it with something thin...
installing fork race?? (bottom piece of headset) posted on 2006-05-15 09:12:03
i think it's called the fork race, (that very bottom piece of the headset that slides over the fork steerer tube and rests against the bottom bearings...)
any advice when installing one? i have a new dk mph headset and that piece happens to be aluminum and quite thin, and therefore very prone to bending... the one on my old headset is steel and thick and you can just bang that thing on with no worries as it stays true no matter what...
advice? ideas? techinques?
thanks!

My friend (skaterdoarder) is right handed, skates goofy footed..

FYI... right or left handedness has absolutely no relation whatsoever to goofy or regular footed stances...
Re: Dia-Tech CB-1 Sealed Headset posted on 2006-05-11 08:40:45
hmm i have a brand new dk mph headset laying around, and i was thinking of putting it on this weekend when i get my new forks...
but i think its similar to the one you are talking about... it's sealed and all aluminum (including the cups)...
not sure if its worth going thru the trouble of pressing in the new cups and all that, or if i should just stick with my trusty Dia Compe SST which is a few oz. heavier, but has lasted me years and still rides smooth... hmmmmm....

Seat hight posted on 2006-04-26 08:41:11
Just remember, and it is simple geometry math, but the higher you have your seat, the longer the toptube is going to be. Since the angles arent parallel the higher one goes, the farther they get apart. So if you are going to raise it, and your seat isnt slammed fw, then the higher you raise it, push the seat fw a little at the time if you want it to feel the same.
ya but cranks and pegs are still in the same position... so top tube wont feel different
i think they are all amazing riders but alex wasnt hitting anything, and terry and justin just werent on. the night before we were riding terry and justin were landing everything, you just have bad days sometimes. cory and jeff d were def on for this contest they were ripping it up. terry did win best trick though.
ya i do agree, it seemed alex wasn't digging the surface at all but justin did hit one link that just so nuts i think it should have gotten him in... dane b. has the slowest smoothest style i've ever seen; so fun to watch him ride, i dont think he knows you are supposed to fall then going that slow...

hey there were 13 pros, but only 12 listed in the final results... ?? there were 2 groups of 4 and one group of 5... hmmm...
also, i would have hated being a judge at that contest... so hard, so many different styles etc... i was really surprised justin and alex were so far down, i think they both should have possibly made the finals... but that is why judging so subjective... the one definite tho was that wilhelm killed it!
