What's the craziest thing you've found while flatlanding? posted on 2005-04-01 12:57:06
I haven't found anything crazy but i had 2 funny things that happened to me.
Me, ron baker, and mark harris were riding at this basketball court and this kid comes out of nowhere and started practicing on his bagpipes, all he needed was a quilt. I had my walkman on full blast but i couldn't drown out the sound. Try riding to that!!!
When i was younger i was riding with brett crowther one day and a white limo pulls up and ice money pops out of the sunroof. He tried to play it off that it was his personal limo it had the rental company's name on the rear bumper. He had a porno playin on the limo's tv he said he was going to pick up some bitches, knowing him they'd be 250lbs and up.
Oh yeah i forgot about this one at clover hills (it was known dirt jumping spot in snj homan and the little devil guys used to go there and had a smooth parking lot too) riding with ron baker and while we were riding one of the dirt jumpers was getting head from this girl in rons' car F#$# that I never sat foot in that car

When I used to ride at love park with my friend will, a lot of bums chilled there and when a breeze would come through it would pick up their funky smell :x and at night they would beam theirselves up to scottie. After that I stopped riding there and rode at the art museum, no bums there just tourists imitating the rocky run up the stairs.
Post if you ever went to the NBL comps in the early 90's.... posted on 2005-03-24 12:27:59
I feel sorry for the people who had to learn tricks on a bully, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I rode a lot of gt and dyno's in the 90's I wasn't that much of a fan of the riders on the team except for voelker and kevin jones when he was on the team for about a week :) But if i had to pick one it would be a dyno pro compe for some reason the geometry was perfect. I found a old tape last night of brett crowther in 90 he was riding a haro street master. The only good thing on the street master frame was the forks because of the peg bosses. I wonder if anyone still rides flat with peg bosses anymore

My old riding buddy brett crowther got first at the virginia comp, i had the tape of that contest, billy newman rode so smooth i don't think he touched once in his run. We can't forget the infamous ice money run either  . There was another nbl comp in egg harbor in 91 also it was pretty good all the hoods(I was stoked I bought a dorkin 4 shirt off of chase) were there, probably the last appearence of craig lepage and his crew jay jones, sean leslie I think tunney was there but i can't remeber. There was a funny story that I heard about after the contest the plywood hoods and ice money went to atlantic city.
