Tabletops=trails? posted on 2005-01-24 06:10:49
its not really a yes or no question... if its just one jump, it doesnt matter because its not trails anyway. you could have a whole set of tables and theyd be a trail. you could have a bunch of doubles and a table and itd be a trail. if its just one jump, whether its a table, double, steppup, hip, spine or whatever else you can conjure up, its just a dirtjump. the point of trail riding is to FLOW. not to hit one jump.
Basic Park Tricks posted on 2005-01-24 04:44:43
if youre new to riding parks or if u just dont doit often, i wouldnt even worry about trying tricks. i'd concentrate on trying to flow around. learn a bunch of lines and try to be smooth. try dropping in from one ramp and hitting every ramp in the park without stopping until you come back to where you started. that way you'll get a lot smoother and when you do go to learn the tricks it wont be so much stop and go back and forth type of boring shit that most kids do when theyre new to skatepark riding.
Tips with Air 1/4 pipes and spines posted on 2005-01-24 04:41:19
yea and pull up really hard, and keep yur eye on the coping as u go up and when u go back down, u want to ride smooth and not case
if he's talking about airing a quarterpipe thats the WAY wrong answer. if not i apologize. but to air a quarter, the key is to pump the ramp by PUSHING against it not pulling off of it. approach it medium fast and stay super low and aggressive on the bike.... You want to PUSH off the lip with your legs and arms and plenty of speed, once you leave the top of the ramp just continue your carve like youre on a vertwall, to land just keep the back end tucked in tight and push the nose down. dont look right at the coping, look just below it. you want to land both wheels at the same time nice and high on the tranny and stand up as you coem down the ramp, by standing you'll be pumping down the tranny as well and get even more speed for whatevers next.

xdreams... fun park. not nearly as good as ECT, but fun. lots of masonite everywhere. theyve been adding a lot of stuff lately to make it way more fun for bikes. theres still too many rollerbladers but its getting better. there are some really fun lines but everything there is pretty big. i dunno man go ride it and have a blast you'll like it. oh... and about foampits, foampits suck. and that one leaves blue stuff alll over you. just hit the box. dont be skurred.

i cant see you trying them so its hard to tell what youre doing wrong, but i found that pushing my ass off the side of the bike and taking my hips away from the area right above the cranks helped me to start clicking them all the way. like if ur pushing your bike down to the right and turning to your right, take your ass out to the left side of the frame before you click it.
