| Me and my friend would REALLY like to have some nice dirt jumps. Even if they are small, like 3 - 4 feet tall, and a minimum of 8 foot gap, we need some jumps.
The jumps I've made in the past suck nuts, and we didn't get any air off them. We are making these by hand, with shovels and a wheelbarrow. Like, what shape should I make? Should the middle have a bend in it to throw you up? I want mostly air hang time, I want room for some tricks. I don't want to get massively high, but you get the picture. Also, the dirt around here SUCKS! The top layer is about all you can get. About 4 inches down you hit ledge, roots, and REALLY hard dirt, it's like frigin concrete. So, what is a good base to use? I got a straight shot of trail that I dirtbike and quad up an down, and that's what I'm using to build jumps on. We've tried logs once, but unless you pile them up they really don't work well. Any tips appreciated. Thanks. ~ CrazeD ~

| just do what my friends and i did...make wooden ones. lol. if you dont want to do that just build them at least 4-5 feet and make sure you have a nice step lip. oh and packed down to the max hardcore. im not an emo kid. | |
