howdy. i just got into bmx last year when a friend of mine sold me his bike for 100 bucks. its a gt thumper, its 5 or 6 years old, i've slowly upgraded it over the year, but when i started to read this forum and other places, i've noticed GT gets trashed a lot... im just curious as to why? | |

i used to have a thumper like 2 yrs. ago and i liked it but i dont know way people talk shit about them i think there good bikes consider me willy wonka, this is my fucking chocoolate factory! | |

i just bought a gt bestwick pro not even a year ago. the parts were crap, the warranty was crap, gt is crap. and im not just some grom out to trash it, i speak from experience. i stripped out the cranks within the first 2 months, i emailed the rep about warranty he said "it was your fault, you must have rode on a loose pedal. no warranty." i didn't ride on a loose pedal. the frame has alreadty died on me, bent to shit and the dropouts are warped and indented making it impossible to keep the rear wheel in the right place. they are just generally spec'd really poorly. the bars bent, the fork bent, the headset seized, frame bent/warped, cranks stripped. the only thing holding up are the rims and the stem. never again will i buy ANYTHING remotely associated with gt. GT Sucks. | |

theres always someone one thats gunna talk trash about what u ride, for instance everyone talks bad about haro but the 05 nyquist pro is so nice. if i brake my frame, my next one will be a nyquist pro frame. Just becuase ppol talk bad about a bike doesnt always mean the bikes shit, but in your case it does. Gt straight up sucks 2005 Haro Nyquist Pro | |

i agree, a lot of people have said my old volume destroyer frame was crap, but i actually liked it.. who said its crap? Its the best frame for the money, sure it might be a tank but they last forever. clink | |

if i brake my frame hahaaaaa^^^ and i had a gt, i loved it...but you must be a hard rider or something, because, if you broke the frame, and jamie bestwick didnt, thats tretarded..jamie shreds on that frame...same with all other signature frames, they are only good if your riding style is close to the designer and rider of the frame | |
