these ones look pretty thick, and also, those half links, are those anywhere near as strong as normal links, or are they more like masterlinks? the pin and cotter pin deal doesn't look that strong to me

sorry i couldn't just post pictures, the site wouldn't let me right click to get the picture address

cotter pins arent strong unless ur just ridng flat and dont pedal real hard, i would go to flatlandfuel.com and get a halflink, those have pins that push in, which is stronger, if that little cotter pin breaks, ur chain falls apart shortly after

i heard that the shadow interlock chain is really strong. i dont use half links or master links on my chain cuz they are not very strong. i used to use masterlinks cuz they easy to take ur chain off (instead of using a chain breaker tool) but i was street riding once and when i did a rail, the plate rubbed against the rail alittle and i started to pedal away is snapped and i kneed myself and flipped over the handle bars :(

from the feedback i got on the flatland board, i think i'm gonna go with the kink on, ooh, and live4bmx, i'm not talking about racing, i'm talking about a fixed gear track bike, as you notice there's no brakes, but there isn't a freewheel, the back cog is fixed to the hub, so when you wanna stop, you just slow the bike down by pushing backwards on the pedals, kinda like a manual humanpowered coaster brake, but anyway, you can picture why the chain breaking would be bad, and that's why i'm trying to find the strongest one i can,

I dunno, the shadow, although a good chain and is what I am currently running now, isnt as great as people say it is

I have broken one already...

My longest lasting chain was the 3/16th 415....

I say go with that really thick one that has like 2mm sidelinks... as long as you dont care about weight

I'd say the KMC dropbuster (510HX)
