im a bmx newbie (im a big mtb'er, but i just got my first semi bmx bike on a trade for a mtb frame) and im in a bit of a bind. it came with profile ss crankset (the22 mm axle, 48 spline), which from what ive read, are stupid expensive but really nice. problem is, im 6'1 with a 36" inseam, and the cranks are 170mm, which is too damn short. profiles website wants 120 bucks plus shipping for a set of new arms, but dans comp wants 130 for a new set of complete 19mm axle profile cranks. first question, is there anywhere cheaper to get some 180+ mm arms for a profile ss, like maybe other brands that are compatable with profiles axle and bb? and if not, do i have to pony up for new arms, or should i get the 19mm complete set instead?

profile ss are made for unsmooth people/heavy people, my friend cant ride without one basically, but yet hes on a reline monster crankset.

u cant really notice 10mm, thats 2/5ths of an inch.. go measure 10mm.. its half a penny at that

hes right, 10mm is only 1cm, which is nearly half an inch. dont worry about it man. if you are goin to spend money on new crank arms you might as well just get a new set of better cranks and try and sell the ones you have to some poor person looking for a set of 3peices

all sprockets work with all cranks, as for your BB, just make sure you get the right kind, its either american or euro. euro being the smaller size

sorry if i misstated the question, but my bottom bracket is fine, as is the axle, all i want is some longer crank arms. i need to know if anything besides profile ss's arms are compatable with the ss bottom bracket and axle that i already have.
